TTOG is a beautiful full service venue with a bridal room, main reception floor with a full bar, and a rooftop overlooking Kansas City. They also have a décor closet with leftover centerpieces, sequin runners, etc. that you can use, which saved us a lot of money! The food is AMAZING. We went with a 3 protein buffet (rotisserie chicken, roast beef carving station, salmon) with salad, rolls, and 2 sides. It was AMAZING-- easily the best wedding food I've ever had. Another bonus with TTOG is that they offer two day-of coordinators, which I couldn't have appreciated more. A few weeks before the wedding, we met with Emad to set a timeline for the night so that everything moved along smoothly as the night progressed. I dropped all my decor off (and a list of the ones I wanted to use from their supply) the week of the wedding, and they do all of the set up and tear down for us! Everything looked perfect the night of. We don't have a single complaint about the venue, Emad or Maggie, or the bar/serving staff. If anything went wrong, Emad or Maggie took care of it and we didn't notice a thing! For the price, they offered a lot more than any other venues downtown that we looked at, and came in at our projected budget. I cannot say enough nice things about TTOG and would 100% recommend them to another couple.

I was here for an industry event recently and I can't say I was super impressed. You enter a store front and go down a long dim hall to an elevator at the back. The elevator takes you to the event space, in this case the 3rd floor and terrace. The terrace is nice, but there are nicer ones in the area. The hall on 3 was fine. Great, friendly bartender. All the food served was cold, however.

The Terrace on Grand was a killer venue for our wedding reception. We fit ~260 people or so and packed the house (definitely snug fit at that number). The rooftop deck was great: the panoramic view of downtown KC, full bar, and music were all wonderful features. The staff is good to work with and knowledgeable about how to best use their space. Granted, any bride/groom will tell you that the reception was a blur, but we've received numerous reports that the reception was a monster hit. It also didn't hurt that the first floor is a nightclub (Luna, open til 3am) and across the street is a "gentleman's" club (if you can call it that). A very strong 4 stars in my book.

Wonderful place for a party! Spent New Year's Eve here and wasn't disappointed. Unfortunately, we didn't make it up top and outside for the great view. Guess we will have to visit it again!

My fiancee and I have been looking for an event space for our reception and we recently toured the Terrace on Grand. The event space was great, and the roof top balcony was very unique. After seeing a few other places, we decided that we wanted to have our reception at their venue. We called the person who gave us the tour, but she stated she was in a meeting, was too busy to talk and would call me back, understandable. A few days pass with no response from her..I call back and once again, she is "walking out the door" and will call me back, practically hanging up on me mid-sentence. Once again, I received no call back. So, a day later I decide to call their office and after about 5 calls of no one answering, I leave a voicemail. I explain my situation that our coordinator is not responding to our calls, and all we want to do is book their event space. We just wanted someone to call us back. My fiancee gets an email about an hour later saying that we should look for another venue because because my voicemail was inappropriate and that we are starting off on a stressful note.I received a call from the same lady the next day saying how they've just been crazy busy lately with losing an employee and a recent fire at the space. Not once did she apologize for not returning my calls, but rather making excuses of why she didn't. I understand that they are busy, but aren't we all? This is a customer service business and if you are willing to turn away customers because you are too lazy, arrogant or busy to call them back, then I sure am not going to give you my business. I hope other people have a better experience than this, but this is an important process in your life, and if they're going to make it this difficult, it's not worth it.

My daughter held her wedding reception here. It was everything she dreamed about. The venue is beautiful, the rooftop view is stunning. We had a live band (Lost Wax---excellent) and about 150 people. Taste Catering was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious. Emad and the staff went above and beyond to make the reception an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this venue---it is truly five star!
