The crew at the Scottish Rite in KC has done some amazing renovation on this wonderful old building. New heating and cooling, solar panels breathing new life into the building. Facelifts everywhere. An industrial kitchen, dining hall, event space for the largest of weddings / gatherings and history everywhere. Private fenced in parking for your guests. State of the art sound and lighting. Worth checking out as a venue.

I attended the Temple VI NYE 2016 Party here. I wanted to leave a review for this event because there was VERY limited information about what this party would actually look like before I bought tickets which were around $60 each with a $25 processing fee. This is my experience vs. what was promoted..10 MASSIVE OPEN BARS - Concession style bars catered by Coach's Bar & Grill serving bottom shelf rail and mixers out of two liters. However they were unlimited, no one ran out and the lines weren't considerably long. COATS CHECKED - Not included, was $34 Levels : 5 DJ's : 8 Party Areas - Really there are two levels since no one was on the balcony and the 4th lowest level was reserved table seating. Hallways were also confusing and it was easy to get lost. The DJ's were meh, no one you would pay more than $5 cover for at a regular bar. I have no idea what they mean by 8 party areas. There were people partying everywhere. They also offered concession foods like pizza, hot dogs and nachos for a reasonable price in the foyer. One thing I have to mention is how many people I saw FALL and not because of the drinks they consumed. There were spilled drinks on almost every part of the floor and if you were not on carpet, it was VERY slippery. People falling down stairs, on the dance floor(s), in the bathroom, yikes! Overall the party had a Frat/Rave vibe, not as upscale as promoted. Mostly the party consisted of young professionals but their were some......regular professionals that were clearly rethinking their decision. I had a good time but I also had a solid group of people there so it really is what you make of it.

Went here for a New Years Eve Party. NYEKC.com The building was nice, the outside is more impressive than the inside. Some of the lower and side rooms are the typical old wooden accented business type designs. The main auditorium is pretty nice, it is very large, the seats are very... stadium like, not that comfortable but they work. It isn't quite like the midland theater but its more of a less extravagant version I guess. Next year I wont attend this party, the neighborhood isn't very safe. Martini corner is close by, I think its a 8 block walk.I can't say anything as far as the Masons or the temple in its true sense, I was only here for the NYE party which has nothing to do with the Temples day job.

This place should get zero stars. My sisters, their husbands, my brother, cousin and his girl, and I all went there last year for the New Years Eve party. Worst nye we've spent together as far as atmosphere goes. We each individually paid over $100 to get in only to find out that they serve the cheapest of the cheap liquors- Gordon's and Aristocrat, with very limited options of types of liquor and only soda out of liter bottles for mixers. No champaigne even though it was NYe. Was as if it were designed for underage college kids- fold up tables for the bars, they were dragging dripping garbage bags across the dance floors, and dudes were sloppy and spilling drinks on girls dresses. If your 18 then maybe you'd have a good time. Just was a rip off really. Not worth the high cover charge in the least bit

Attended last years new years party, nye at the temple. I must say the event was wild unexpectedly wild. The venue is massive and it was packed so make sure your cell is charged up so you can relocate your friends lol. Good crowd, amazing production and really good djs. They advertise no bar lines which I just assumed would be bull but we actually never waited too much for a drink at all. Overall amazing time and would go back for sure.
