The Sunflower

Cute little local coffee shop in Atchison! I love to stop in for an iced coffee in the afternoons - the "What's Good Here" and vanilla lattes are my favorite. They also have a variety of baked goods that are solid. There's seating indoors to enjoy time with friends or get some work done, as well as some cute decor and other items to browse. Service is friendly enough and prompt getting orders out. Definitely a nice place to stop if you're in the area and want to support a local business!

This is one of the best cafes in the area. The coffee is really great (I highly recommend grabbing a Fall special) and it has such a welcoming atmosphere. They have a good selection of snacks, and pastries. This place is worth a stop!

Absolutely delicious breakfast food and coffee. The owner went above and beyond when it the comes to the menu and decor. Absolutely adorable place and very comfortable to sit and enjoy your purchases

The place looks nice and cozy! The atmosphere is great. The workers are very friendly!But my issues with the cafe is that there's not many breakfast options available. In fact, there are only four breakfast options to choose from. Plus they are overpriced in my opinion. $6 for a tiny breakfast burrito is just ridiculous. Plus the coffee tasted just okay.

What a darling little coffee shop! Another stop on our MI to OR road trip & it was such a great choice. The young lady working was so sweet & made delicious coffee drinks too! Ordered an iced latte & a mocha plus one of their cookies- yum! We got to talking about Atchison & she was knowledgeable about the area which was fun. Its downtown location is great for someone local or just driving through like we were. Definitely worth a stop!

I went to Atchison for the Amelia Earnhardt race. In between we stopped at The Sunflower. I had a cinnamon twist and the hi light: Amelia's Final Flight drink with cranberry, lavender, vodka, lemon and other ingredients. It's absolutely the best beverage I've ever had. (Barring KC Ice Water at Reiger). The Sunflower is decorated with adorable Knick-knacks that you just need to explore. I will return to The Sunflower, if just for Amelia's Final Flight. Infact I should've had 2 yesterday.

I've got the jalapeño cheddar breakfast sandwich so many times and it is so good . The crispy bacon , the hot and soft pretzel bun and the egg and melted cheese . It is just delicious it is so good and I recommend it ! Not to mention their drinks are so good . The service is amazing the workers are kind and work fast , not to mention the decor on the inside is just beautiful and it is very clean in there . I love how they also deliver and it always comes hot and untouched . Recommend going here very much !!

While in Atchison, I went to The Sunflower for coffee. Great decor, friendly people, outstanding Americano, and they suggested a Carmel cinnamon roll, which was amazing!I will be back when I'm in town... Thank you

Great little coffee shop, with a real espresso machine, which was exactly what I needed. Wide selection of snacks, and even serves cocktails- real cocktails! Definitely be back!

For the typical coffee go-er I think the quality of coffee is adequate. Unfortunately if you are looking for a quality shot of espresso, or are looking to enjoy a nice latte without covering the flavor with lots of flavored sweeteners, you should look elsewhere. On multiple occasions I have watched them mutilate my espresso with extremely poor and careless shot-pulling procedures. This is such a shame to me however, because the atmosphere of this place is extremely nice and the employees have always been very friendly. They are simply in need of lots of retraining.
