We decided to take a class during our girls trip this past week. It was a lot if fun. None of us had previously experienced if and thought it would be something fun to try. We were right. We started with a champaign toast and got into our alter egos. We learned some moves that I'm sure I will try with my hubby. It was a nice activity for our trip. I'm sure all of our hubbies and boyfriends have high expectations now. LOLDefinitely something to try if you're planning something fun to do with the girls.

My friend is getting married and decided to do a pole dance class at Fimb for her bachelorette party. We had a BLAST! Our instructor, Carla, was incredible. She kept us moving and let me tell you, she kicked our butts! It was definitely a work out, I hurt in places I never thought could hurt before... But it hurts so good! She even had a champagne toast ready for us. Fimb also does booty bootcamp, aerobic and yoga classes at very reasonable prices! Check them out if you are looking for a full-body work out but don't want to go to a stuffy, smelly gym where guys like to watch you from behind on the treadmill :]

This place is awesome!!! I took a Three Play class (some chair, some pole, and then some pole yoga). The class was an hour and a half, but flew past, since we were having so much fun. I was worried that I would not be able to catch on and not get a good workout (my problem with Zumba), but the moves were easy to follow and targeted muscles that are not always targeted in other fitness workouts.Carla was amazing...making everyone very comfortable and ensuring that we had an amazing work out (I can feel it in my abs, glutes, and legs today). We started with about 30 minutes of high-energy chair dancing, then moved to about 30 minutes of using the pole (this really targeted the upper body), and then on to stretching with polga (yoga with the pole). The studio even has shoes you can borrow for the pole dancing section...if 5 inch Lucite is not in your everyday fashion repertoire. This was so much fun...I will be going back for sure (and wishing I had a place for a pole of my very own).

I have been attending this gym for over a year. The supportive atmosphere and encouragement from the owner as well as other participants has made this year well worth the sore muscles and bruises. It is a wonderful addition!!

Talk about a great time and a wonderful work out!!!! A group of girl friends and I went to have a good time, learn some basic pole and chair move and to feel sexy. I wasn't sure what to expect. I heard pole dancing class and I was all about it but I admit I was very nervous. I am not what most would call thin nor am I tall. So feeling a little self conscious I was a tad apprehensive. I wasn't expecting it to be a nice studio given the nature of the class either. Carla was so professional and made you feel totally comfortable in your skin. The studio was very clean, smelled great, and very private. I enjoyed the workout and the feminine feeling I had after. After that class I felt like I wielded a power that could conquer the world!!! The cost is very reasonable and she also offers different types classes. I would recommend anyone to her. I have the up-most respect for her and the level of professionalism she carries. With a pole or chair dancing class I think you could easily make it trashy and trampy and attract the wanna be pole dancers of the area and make good money but she is classy, feminine and strong and encourages you to feel the same. It had a peaceful feeling like yoga but sexy pin up feel. I don't mean to carry on but this is a must for women to at least try!!
