The Rye Studio

My husband and I wanted to get family photos done this year and when we saw that Rye Studios was offering a barn mini session we jumped on it! The location that they had set up was a beautiful farm in Stilwell (Serendipity Farms) and they had arranged a huge beautiful wreath in front of the barn for a gorgeous backdrop. We were there for about 30 minutes and had a great time; Rye & her husband Chase were SO great with our toddler. They made him laugh and smile and really gained his trust so he had a blast and cooperated like a little angel. A week after our shoot we met at their studio to go over the photos where we then narrowed it down to our favorite shots. We chose 'Package A' which included 5 printed photos for $750. Here is where I dock one star because I couldn't find any pricing on the Rye Studios website before going into this meeting, so it was a little awkward discussing pricing and options in the moment. It was difficult to follow the package pricing versus the a la carte options. I also wish we would have been provided the digital copies of the photos we chose; The only digital copies we have were the ones uploaded to the Rye Studios Facebook - with the logo attached. All in all, the photos turned out spectacular but based solely on the price for 5 prints, we will probably only use Rye for special occasions. If they had offered a flat session fee for digital copies I would hire them multiple times a year! I will reiterate that I am thrilled with the shots that we did get, I just wish we had access to them.

The pictures that were taken by Rye turned out amazing! They were kind enough to call and offer a reschedule when the weather was looking a bit blah. Like I said, "Amazing Product!" I had happened onto their site when I saw an offer on FB for a free photo shoot at their barn. I'm a bargain finder, had not set this up yet for my family this year and thought "Boom!." We walked into the studio to review our photos, my husband and I, and were blind-sided by our choices of: Pkg A:$750Pkg B:$1100Pkg C:$1250Ok. I should've asked when I called. I know. Guilty! But these prices were off the chart crazy. We bought, out of naivete. Hindsight..... Their product was beautiful, though! We love our proofs and have learned from this one!

Love Rye and her fabulous husband that run a fun and beautiful studio! We came here to get headshots for our business and I was incredibly impressed with her professionalism, speed, and amazing final photos (as well as fun decor and design items). I was very nervous about getting my photos taken and she put me at ease during the shoot, gave simple and easy to follow instructions, and came up with gorgeous backgrounds. I highly recommend checking out the studio if you're looking for professional, seniors, or couples photos. Take some fun outfits, an open mind and a big smile.I promise, you will be in good hands with Rye!!

I absolutely 100% recommend The Rye Studio. I took my pups out there for her Dog Days event benefiting many of the local animal shelters. If you brought a bag of dog food and got a free 8x10 with the purchase of another photo. The sitting fee was free. It was an amazing experience, Rye and her husband are so sweet and incredibly talented. The pictures turned out adorable! We can't wait to go back next year!!

Best photographer in the KC Metro area. Went to Rye and Chase for our daughter's senior photos and they were absolutely incredible. My senior had a fantastic time shooting even though she is typically camera shy. Rye captured all her different personalities and moods. The viewing was super fun and the printing was to our high quality standards. This is a couple that loves what they do and it shows in their work. Would highly recommend Rye Studio to anyone looking for an all around awesome experience.
