The Rock of KC

This church is fantastic. The music is legit like watching a concert. The singers sound so amazing and you can feel God moving. The preacher is great, down to earth and really knows how to convey his message. You feel right at home when you walk in the doors. Truly a building worth attending and the Church (people) are super great!

Welcome home said the sign. And the sign was right. The Rock is centered on God's word. It doesn't water down or compromise or change the message to conform with the world, but it provides people to walk beside us through this uphill and downhill journey to our forever home.

I found my KC family here! I came to KC during a very difficult chapter of my life, and found The Rock after just a month. Here, I found everything I needed to refocus on my relationship with God and align my life with his Word. I also found an amazing family, and a true home for myself and my son. Senior pastors Phillip and Susan are caring, compassionate and transparent, regardless of the situation. Connect Groups and the numerous opportunities to serve have made this church community feel small and personal. I've always felt accepted, loved and wanted here.

If you are looking for real, down to earth, friendly people to hang out and worship with... This is the place! The church is non-denominational. The worship is awesome - fun and spirit-filled. The preaching is easy to understand and Biblically based. The kids area is AMAZING! So much fun for kiddos with great life lessons being taught through Bible stories. The building itself is modern and beautiful. You almost feel like you are walking into a modern coffee house when you first walk in... Plus, there is an actual coffee bar - so come early and get a Starbucks style drink and relax! :) This church cares about people and truly shows God's love to each other and the community it's members represent.

Love this church and the ground it stands on! Actual teachings using scripture and the worship atmosphere is pure and comes from people who love Jesus truly.

Today was my and my husband's first time here it was like walking into home to a family full of love and warmth

We try to be at every service because of the awesome Word ("digging" /penetrating your inner soul).

Today, was our first time at Rock of KC, we loved the atmosphere, very friendly people, casual dress and the music and freedom to move about and clap hands and lift up our hands to heaven. Also great evening at the FREE Hay Ride event, pony rides for the kids, 4-5 bouncing houses, hay rides for the whole family, free popcorn and cotton candy, chili contests, BBQ hotdogs & hamburgers, chips and water for a "BUCK $1!" Can't beat that for great night out! Great time to get to know others that attend at Rock of KC. Also Rock of KC has many outreaches, Run to Stop for Stop Sex Trafficking in Kansas City, Salvation Army support with meals and blanket handouts to homeless, Missionaries across the Globe, Food Pantry and much more! We can't wait to get involved. It's SO WORTH the drive from Liberty, MO! We had hard time finding a church that really preaches from the Bible and this Pastor preaches the Daniel Plan, simple and understanding from the NIV. Free Bibles weekly and on-the-spot baptisms.
