We used to dance here and loved it very much! Staff was attentive and always looking for way to help my daughter improve! Performances were entertaining and professional, and since they have such a wide range of ages I know how hard that is to achieve. Hated moving away and are currently looking for a place as great as Pulse!

I could not leave that negative review as they only review of The Pulse Performing Arts Center on Yelp. The two "business partners" this previous reviewer refers to are so completely caring about their students and their families. We would not think of going to another studio. I have a daughter that has danced at The Pulse for six years. The recitals are why we joined The Pulse in the beginning. Brandon ties all the many studio routines together with a storyline. And, where he used the instructors (which I have seen other studios do, as well) as the leading roles in the past, the last 2 years it has only been the older girls in the leading roles. The Pulse is only ten years old. The dance studio has more than doubled it's students since this last review. The recital, to which the reviewer was referring to the "overly long" intermission, had a technical malfunction they were trying to fix. The finale to this recital was fabulous. So glad they took the time to fix it!The talent level of all the students from recreation to competition level is phenomenal. The young ladies and gentlemen who dance at the highest level at The Pulse win the highest awards at competition. They have brought on 3 new talented instructors who ask for only the best performances from the students. However, they always enforce the rule of "love what you're doing. It doesn't matter what you win". My daughter spends a great deal of time at the studio rehearsing. It's so nice to have a great "family" environment for her to walk into every evening. We are looking forward to another recital performance in 4 weeks. We have friends and family wanting to make sure they have tickets every year. They love the performances. If you are looking for a studio that cares about your child and has the best level of dance instruction, look no further than The Pulse Performing Arts Center.

My family has been attending the pulse for the past year. The attention to detail is evident from the lobby to every single studio. There are photos up all over the facility of the students. It is exciting for the kids to see themselves on the walls. For me it just shows how proud they are of their students. My daughter takes from one of the owners and she is always so excited when it is dance day. She will come home and work on her dance and I have to say I love that she is not doing some of that inappropriate stuff I saw when we looked at other schools. As a dad I can tell you that is not what you are going to get when you go to the pulse. Not only do they make the moves appropriate and fun the costumes also follow the same guidelines.I got to attend a watch week ( they do three a year) and I was impressed by the fact that the teacher, one of the owners, did as much dancing as the kids. He was able to demonstrate when a kid had a question and was jumping around with them. He had enough energy that it was contagious. To know that my kid is not only learning but having fun is exactly what you want from a dance school. I have already recommended the studio to several of my co workers and friends. We plan to be part of the pulse family for a long time.

The pulse performing arts center has been my family and home for 7 years. They are supportive and so respectful to their dancers. Many awards and national championships have been won by this company as their instructors are talented and care immensely for the well being of their dancers. This is a great place to grow up and experience dance as an art form and not a simple activity.

What a horrible experience! This place is low value and seriously lacking talent.Maybe my bar is set too high considering my experience withAlvin Ailey but Pulse has defined the low end of the spectrum for me. I really think the only reason these two guys started this company is so one of them could have a place to perform. The "business partner" of the owner is in 3/4 of the production. At this age group parents are looking to see their children perform. From a production standpoint, they were late to start by 30 minutes and the "15 minute" intermission was easily twice as long. I guess they were trying to sell DVDs and concessions to make a few extra bucks. In the future, I would recommend they use the money to turn on the A/C. The "business partner" was literally sweating through his shirt...thank goodness for frequent costume changes.I would also caution they are not focused at all on the younger children. Most of the children less than 8/9 were only on stage once (less than about 2 minutes) but they are required to stay until the curtain call which was 3 hours later. I'm assuming this is intended to keep the seating full to make the company look better. They kept them back stage where they must have been snacking on sugar and sweets. My child was bouncing off the walls long after bed time. In total, the children are at the performance for about 4 hours. The quality of the training also seems to be lacking as even the older children appeared to be missing a few reps and unsure about what the next move was. Finally, don't bother trying to give any feedback to the owner. He was very aggressive and yelled during my attempt to give him feedback. If I had met with him prior to enrolling, we would have not sent our child there. We will definitely be driving the extra distance to attend the Culture House and we never plan on returning to Pulse.
