The Paleta Bar

Great experience! This was our first time there and I intend to return to try more flavors. Is very creamy and very delicious, the person who assisted us was very good and welcoming! Parking here is not perfect but besides that, great place to visit!

My wife told me about Paleta Bar and it was a great place to visit to finish off our night. We went about an hour before close and they were still very busy which gave me some hope that this place would be worth the hype... they are! We tried bars that were with fruit and some without. I created an odd mixture of a coconut bar dipped in dark chocolate, topped with oreo on one half, and tajin on the other half. If the worker who made it reads this review, it was one of those odd mixtures that just works in my opinion. It was sweet and a bit savory, and then you get the creamy from the bar itself. I was surprised to see such a great variety of flavors as well! My wife got a banana bar dipped in milk chocolate, and topped with peanuts. The mixture was just right, it tasted how the Reese's banana slices should taste! If you were on the fence with Paleta Bar, it is definitely worth it!!

I was thoroughly surprised on how good this was! I thought it was going to taste nothing like ice cream & oh was I wrong?!! This was literally the best ever. I will send everyone here! The lady behind the counter answered everything with confidence, as well as gave us the options on how to make what we wanted. I loved the whole experience! It was a good amount of space inside. They have a patio option as well through. The music playing in the background was just loud enough to add an even better touch. I'll be back!

Pick out your Paleta bar, dip in chocolate and choose your toppings. Add on some fruits for even more great taste. They really need to add another person at the counter. Poor guy, he doesn't get any break. They are constantly busy. People coming in through out the day for a special treats. Sitting and relaxing in a casual atmosphere. They even have tables and chair outside for your enjoyment.

Very good popsicles with interesting flavors and topping selection. Service has always been great, and the price is unbeatable compared to other ice cream joints.

I've been seeing the good reviews for this spot for a few weeks and finally had a good night to try this with my boyfriend. After an awesome meal at Hummus & Pita, we walked over there. Metcalf is a little scary but the crosswalk light is like 25 seconds so there's ample time to make it across, so if parking at the farmer's market area makes sense for what you are doing that night, don't feel like you HAVE to move your car.It was bustling when we went on a Friday around 7:30 but fortunately the line was short. The young woman behind the counter gave us the rundown. You pick your popsicle - there are milk-based and water-based (for my vegan friends) popsicles to choose from. You can stop there, or you can add on. If you want to take it over the top, you can dip your popsicle so the toppings adhere. Then you pick your toppings. I chose the strawberry milk-based one, with a full dip in milk chocolate (they'll do a half dip if you just want one topping, or a partial dip) with m&ms and fruity pebbles. It was super yummy! Next time I'll be more adventurous but tbh, it can be overwhelming on your first visit. I'm so glad they've added an evening dessert spot to old OP, neither Upper Crust nor Popculture are open late enough for dessert. So now you can really make a night walking around down there. The space itself was very clean. We were able to snag one of the tables outside. It would be nice if they put a few more tables out there as well as a trash can.

My girlfriend saw this location driving by and figured we would stop in to get a sweet. I'm normally not into sweets, but this location definitely made me want to come back and get another Paleta bar. When we walked in, we were greeted kindly, even with the bustling environment. It was relatively loud due to the amount of people that were there, but it wasn't overwhelming. There were several different choices to choose from, but I had the Tres Leche Bar with graham crackers. It was amazing. The sweetness was perfect, the taste was delicious, and it was definitely needed on a hot summer day. Overall, I'm happy my girlfriend and I walked into this location. I recommend everyone to come here and I will definitely be returning.

I had no intention of coming here. The wife and daughter wanted to go to Taco Naco which is just next door for dinner as we love it there. Afterwards the daughter mentioned this place since it had come across her insta feed recently. I was stuffed from dinner so wasn't really interested.....but was overruled. So we walk into this relatively small place (about 16 seats) and see the freezer case (pictured below). The girls were quite excited. So here's the deal, you pick out a flavor, then decide if you wanted it dipped in something, then sprinkled in something and if you want fruit on the side. Again I'm not interested at all. That said, the price was easy enough and the girls loved what they ordered. They payed the dad tax and I thought they were great. We will definitely be coming back. I now want to try a few different ice pops. Side note, they also have some kind of nachos and street corn, and jugs of Agua Fresca if you are in to that sort of thing. So in review.....I walked in with a negative attitude, but the treats won me over.

Wow wow wow is all I have to say about this place. My Paleta or popsicle lives rent free in my mind!To start off this place isn't easy to access because it's on Metcalf Ave which is a busy intersection but once you figure out where you are gonna park, trust me it's worth it!!!!The place is clean, I was greeted by excellent staff that was so nice and inviting and just their presence made me wanna come back without even trying anything.You start off your Paleta journey with your popsicle, all different flavors to choose from strawberry to coffee to mango. I chose dulche de leche, then you choose what kind of chocolate you want. You can choose from dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate. Since I'm indecisive I got half white chocolate and milk chocolate drizzle. Then you choose your crunchy toppings, I have sensitive teeth so skipped that but I got my fruit topping and it was amazing!!!!They give you a fork to eat it with which I found strange but now I get it. You are gonna need your fork and lots of napkins! I love this place so much and mad at myself for not stopping by sooner, but I'll be back. It's my new favorite place!

So yummy. A little bit of everything to have or add. Can't wait to go back. Very cool vibes. Slow season so there was only one employee but she got ours done quickly and was kind!
