The Pairing is a bottleshop and bar in the Crossroads with a curated selection of goodies - I'm always finding something new or unique or local to try. There's a bar in the back where you can snack on a charcuterie board or grocery items from the store (vegan options for both). To drink, you can order a glass of wine, a flight of wine or spirits and more. But beyond the menu, you can also enjoy some of the beverages for sale in the store at the bar - the price tags on the shelves include multiple prices to indicate the 'to-go' price or the 'in-store' price. There's a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks too if you're wrapping up Dry January.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Kansas City is sprawling and not super walkable and that is the only reason I can imagine that this place isn't constantly packed (although they get that way on weekends/with live music). I am a great lover of wine and I have never come here without learning something/trying something out of the ordinary. Kate, who works the bar, deeply researches and lovingly curates their offerings. Try a flight, and get an education! She will tell you everything you could hope to know about the wine. This place also has wonderful charcuterie and an extensive liquor/wine selections, featuring a lot of things you won't find elsewhere. The staff is lovely, the wine is priced very fairly and the bar in the back is very warm and cute. Check it out!!

Such amazing staff and outstanding selection. Has to be the best charcuterie in the city. I always grab a bottle of wine and some cheese for the house as well.

Came here after seeing Barbie with a couple friends. We did the premier wine flight, and the traditional, as well as a cheese board & charcuterie board. We were wonderfully taken care of by a lady I can't remember her name! But she knew her wines inside & out & kept us laughing the whole time. The boards were a great value, 3 of us shared each board & were quite full. The wines were all different & interesting. We all finished with a glass of our favorite pour, then went shopping in the store. I have had this place on my radar since they opened, & cannot wait to come back for some live jazz with my hubby & more vino!

The variety of spirits is amazing. You will also find a variety of meats, cheeses and seasoning for Charcuterie. Truly a cocktail party supply treasure trove. To top it off you get the benefit of a wineand spirits bar in the back of the store. The charcuterie boards are available not only to order for your catering needs but also available to order while you enjoy a drink or flight of spirits. Just a note this is flights for purists as they don't serve mixed cocktails. Love this spot and will definitely return and bring out of town guests as we host a lot.

Absolutely 100% love this spot! Almost so much that I DONT want to review it because I would like to keep it a secret - always ensuring my seat at the bar. Listen everyone, let me put it out there: The. BEST. Charcuterie. In. KC. Make sure you sample the vegan options as well. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and will take you on a wine expedition. The flight was madness, inexplicable, and perfect. Let your senses go wild with the offerings and trust the artists beyond the bar. Make sure you check out the local art and support an amazing business that's always in solidarity with the community. Highly recommend but I kindly ask to save a spot for me.

I came here because I wanted to get some gin and this was what my phone told me was closest. Reader, this place is amazing. There's a wine bar, and then there's also spirits and wines. It's small, but the spirits on offer are all of superior quality. What's more important, I asked the person who worked there about the various gins. He was able to tell me about every one of the gins, how it tasted, the distillers, and anything else I'd want to know. In addition, to give me a sense of how Still 360's spirits taste, he pulled a bottle out of the back and let me sample some.I ended up getting a Still 360 Volstead's Folly, since it's Midwestern, and a Crooked Water Sundog gin, mainly because it's got limited nationwide distribution and is one of the few woman-owned distillers.So... did I spend more than I'd intended? Yes! Did I end up with the most helpful, gin-knowledgable salesperson I've ever encountered in a liquor store? Yes as well! I highly recommend this place.

Alright, hear me out, people... we moved here from Des Moines which has an uncanny elevated charcuterie scene. We were spoiled up north and disappointed in the offerings here in Kansas City... until we happened upon The Pairing. Their boards are full and filled with the right things you want in a real board. They also have a couple of doors of single beers that you can choose from and enjoy with your board. The store also sells a lot of the components to the boards and additional specialty items in their little bodega area at the front of the store. I would also be remiss if I didn't mention their super specialized selection of wines and spirits. It's tough to walk out of there without yours arms full of your weekly "essentials"!

One could say that the only thing missing from the East Crossroads was a quality liquor store. Not any more. The Pairing is the best of both worlds. It's a quaint little store that stocks a good variety of your favorite adult beverages. It also offers a small amount of finger foods, cheese and dips that can be "paired" with an adult beverage of choice.Due to space, it looks like the store focuses on quality, not quantity. It might not offer everything, but what it does offer is good, solid stock. I didn't have any issues with any of the beers or whiskeys that were on display. For those who like wine, I'm not the most savvy customer, but from what it looks like, the store carries a thorough inventory. If you're not sure what you want, please feel free to ask. The staff is quite knowledgeable and happy to help. This is also a social space. There is a small "bar" at the back of the store where you and your friends can enjoy a cheese or charcuterie board and beer or a glass of wine. It's perfect for day drinking, happy hour or even a pre-dinner snack.

You guys!!!! This is my new favorite hang out place! The concept is cool and so smart. The bar area have wine flights, whiskey flights, and cheese/meat boards. Atmosphere very casual and not to noisy. Level of music is perfect. You can come for a glass of wine, a flight of wines before or after your dinner plan. The owners were super knowledgeable and they take their times to explain any kind of questions you may have. Bathroom is clean (which is very important in my book!). I like the fact that they have the "non-typical" options to sample from; we never had Slovenia and malt French wines and guess what?? That's what's available on the menu to sample. We will definitely be back and with a few more friends!
