The Old Neighborhood Cafe

We came in on a Saturday for lunch, and it was pretty busy. You order at the counter and can get a table if you want to eat at the restaurant. It took about 30 min for our food to come out, which is understandable with how busy it was. Food was good but not amazing. Ambiance is like a local small town cafe.- Big Tex burger (4/5): flavorful and cooked well. Fries were delicious, pretty greasy but still good- The Goat sandwich (3.5/5): It was good, interesting with the apples but still tasty. Kind of a small portion size. Side salad was basic but good

This is the second time I've been here and it's a local stunner! How this hasn't been put on Yelp yet for further discovery, I have no idea. I swear they cultivate their sandwiches with the best fresh ingredients. The also have great combinations that make you feel like you've never tried anything like it before. If you're looking for a solid dinner spot that isn't too packed (yet) , Old Neighborhood Cafe is a must. We will be back to keep trying out the menu!

Great day we purchased the Katy trail classic chicken sandwich. And the classic burger and two fries. The sandwiches were good although I did not realize the Katy trail was chicken salad. The homemade fries however a few were good and fresh but 90% or so were hard, burnt and overcooked. They may have been recooked. I know they thrive on a fresh experience which is great. But I did not get that throughout. I did not get pics of the sandwiches but I may be able to get some of the fries. As I'm sure my dads were still in his bag along with the other half of his burger.

This place is like the ultimate college dining hall, but with way better food and no homework. The Miami Vice was like a flavor party in my mouth--delicious and totally worth the "I'll skip studying for this" decision. And Avery? Absolute legend. Small restaurant with a large variety of soups, sandwiches, and salads. Both sandwiches ordered were absolutely delicious. Definitely not the best place to sit down and eat, but if you are looking for delicious takeout food this is the perfect place.

The food was very good however, the service was pretty bad. We had to ask for our drinks twice and finally got them when our food was served. I could understand this if they were busy but we were the only patrons in the restaurant! The staff did enjoy visiting with each other though!!

Went there today for lunch with a friend .We both ordered the potato salad for a side dish. When we both got our food, we both remarked that the potato salad was good. That wasn't until I took another bite and found a whole egg in the salad. It was kind of funny at first but then I thought well they're not preparing the food very carefully. So it kind of turned me off from finishing the potato salad. This being said, the rest of the meal was good but I don't believe I'll be ordering potato salad from there anymore. Lol.

When I took my sister there we both absolutely loved it! Though a little bit pricey, the food is as much worthy as the price! Absolutely amazing! The ambiance of the restaurant was very relaxing and calm. It was blessed by the blissful smell of fresh food. Also the people were very very nice especially the cashier. Treated with upmost respect, care, and kindness. Thank you all for gracing us with your wonderful hospitality and lovely food! Keep it up!
