The Myers Hotel Bar

This place has been on my radar for over a year. I finally took the hour drive one Saturday night. Seemed to be a groovy atmosphere but the bartender didn't know how to make the available drinks. It was 8pm on a Saturday night and there were about 8 people in the bar. Didn't seem busy. I understand being out of seasonal drinks but the bartender should be able to make few remaining options on the menu. Sadly, he didn't. Long way to drive for a disappointing experience.

Great food - very cool vibe. Well worth the short drive from KC. Lunch on a Saturday afternoon with salads staight from the garden just outside the back door. Cocktails (by Kate) were on point. Turkey panenni sandwich was fabulous.

Located at the edge of Kansas in the great city of Tonganoxie; this 115 Year old business is recently reborn as a active bar catering to the night life in this quaint small town. Currently just serving drinks, including many exotic cocktails this eclectic former Chicken Restaurant, Bus Stop, Hotel, Beauty Parlor, Apartment building has expansion plans for the future, but the present has never looked better.Come and have a drink in the Cafe that was the inspiration for William Inge's play "Bus Stop"The locals are glad to see you arrive and sad to see you go and the owners are always present. The Hotel is defining itself as it goes so call ahead to get the details.

This is truly a gem. Unique hand-crafted cocktails, amazing ambiance, and historical setting. I was pleasantly surprised when visiting, and will definitely return!!

Update 8/2021: This bar was the very best thing about Tonganoxie. Kate Frick created a warm and inviting environment that touched all the senses. Her mixology skills are unparalleled. Using fresh herbs and from her garden and locally grown veggies and meats for her charcuteries boards, Kate created the very best experience for her customers every single time. She also brought unique live music and arty classic movies to an otherwise quiet little town. Sadly, the bar closed due to the impact of COVID and the Shut Down. Kate, and her tasty drinks, food, and fantastic experiences, are sorely missed by this regular and many many more.

Absolutely love it! A unique bar/lounge right off the square in Tonganoxie, KS. Always great company, great drinks, and amazing decor. Would suggest!

The Myers Hotel Bar is Unique and Charming! This Bar is housed in an old Hotel building, carefully renovated to echo Art Deco Style from the era of the bar, but Sassy enough to be run by a couple young bar tenders that serve up amazing drinks and every once grab a tambourine and join in on the fun. I was fortunate enough to go on a night our friend was singing and I can't wait to return!

After reading about The Myers Hotel Bar I decided to drop in and check it out. What a wonderful place!!!! The hospitality and cocktails were a welcome treat on a cold, dreary day. I will definitely be coming back and bringing friends along to share with them this special place!!!!
