Had a blast at my first show here! Easy entrance with ticketing and security. The theater itself is beautiful and I loved their concert space including what I thought to be a good assortment of seating and standing areas. I know personal space perhaps can't be guaranteed at every show, but I was able to enjoy the whole show with breathing room and not bumping into anyone. Bar staff was quick and friendly. Not gonna lie, $17 for a medium sized Boulevard Southwest Blvd is kind of crazy but oh well. Sound quality and the stage were solid as well! Glad to have this on my radar as somewhere I would definitely attend another show.

What a beautiful theater!! We've seen a few shows here. Bill Maher and now Lake Street Dive. Everyone is kind here. The bartenders, security staff, entry staff, everyone! There's no food here, so eat before or after you come. I recommend Lula a few blocks away. The seats are fine but small. But the hall itself is just a delight. What a treasure for our city!

Great event space to catch your favorite performance. Love the architecture that has been painstakingly preserved throughout the years. Expansive space with multiple levels. The staff does a great job welcoming people inside and escorting to their seats. No food served at our comedian event, but several bars noted inside and out of main theater.

What a Beautiful and cool place to watch a show!! We came here for a Tori Kelly concert, and absolutely Loved this venue! The interior was gorgeous and there was Plenty of space! The concert was general admission, and so I appreciated how they had different levels on the ground floor to see better/over the heads in front of you. Honestly, no matter where you were in the room it looked like a good seat!We opted to get the A-List Lounge which would definitely recommend! These tickets allowed us in one hour before general doors opened and was a great place to relax before the show instead of standing in a line outside. They had big glass windows for a beautiful view of the city, modern interior design, and probably only 25-30 people in there at the time. There was a decent amount of seating, complimentary water and soda, and a discount on drinks. The best part is you also had access to VIP bathrooms throughout the show. We liked these tickets because they let you down to the venue as general doors open as well. So you have a good chance of getting a good spot! The only thing is, they liked us up by the elevator and we had to wait to go about 7 at a time down to the venue. So if you were in the back of the line, there were a lot of people from the general admission line that could have still gotten there before you. So for a tip, as it gets close to general doors opening, head to the elevator in the room to get ready to go down first.Parking was super easy as the garage attached to the building was easy to find, had many spots, and was decently priced at a flat fee for the night. We didn't pre-pay or reserve and were able to go right in. Overall, Loved this venue and would definitely see another show here!

This was beautiful theatre and it was my first time coming here. A couple of drawbacks:- seats were small and no cup holders. - bathrooms were small and very outdated (cold water faucet leaked. The bathrooms don't look like they've been updated since at least 20 years- no parking lot: but this comes with a historic theatre in a busy downtown areaPros:- gorgeous theatre- we were sitting in the balcony (303 D) and could see the stage exceedingly well. - acoustics were greatObviously I'm going to be coming back because you're coming for the concert, band, or show, but hopefully this review is helpful.

Hadn't been to the Midland for some time and was looking forward to the comedy show that evening. First, I'll say that the two stars are more for how the ambiance turned out.The comedy show was just ok for me. 85 South Show if you're wondering. Where things changed for me is the number of people who decided to smoke inside the venue, all though there was police presence and security roaming around to discourage it. For a non-smoking person, this made the rest of my time at the show unbearable. The venue still looks nice. There was plenty of staff to assist, but I don't think even they could control the smoking in the venue, nor should that have been their responsibility.I will choose my events more carefully and should sometime from Midland Theater read this, I think enforcement might have to be reviewed for events going forward. Just a suggestion, though.

Absolutely GORGEOUS theatre. The architecture is stunning and it's a very fun place to see a show. The ushers were all friendly and helpful in find in my seats, and I thoroughly enjoyed my concert. I love that I could purchase a general admission ticket or get a balcony ticket with my own seat. I get overstimulated in crowds, so the balcony was an awesome option for me.

The Midland is always a favorite. If there's someone I really want to see at the Midland, I am so there. The venue is completely historic and just really levels up the night. Makes you feel VIP, even if you're just GA seating (or rather standing). Staff has always been helpful and friendly to me, especially the bartenders and security. Merch is usually set up right next to the door. In the winter there is a cash only coat check downstairs, adjacent to the restrooms.

The Midland is an outstanding live music venue. Its remarkable acoustics and close proximity to the performers create an unparalleled experience. Moreover, its easily accessible location and multiple bars throughout the theater ensure that patrons can enjoy a drink or take a moment to relax during the show.

We headed to the Midland Theater in Kansas City last night to see a Sparks concert there, and I must say, it was awesome! The acoustics in that venue are pretty great. The positive vibes and collective enthusiasm emanating from all the Sparkies in attendance made for a truly unforgettable experience. Finding free parking downtown can be like looking for dear Aunt Mable, who's gotten lost again in the Walmart. It took some effort, but eventually, we found a spot on the street. It's probably better to park a ways away and ride the streetcar (or the Max buses at the moment - the streetcar is out of commission for repairs). One area the Midland could improve on is the beer prices. I mean, seriously? $14 for one beer? Every cent I saved on cheap Sparks tickets was immediately spent on overpriced alcohol. I get it, they gotta make their money, but come on. Despite the beer cost, I'm giving the Midland Theater a solid 5 out of 5, just because the place itself is freakin' awesome! Even though I had to sell my firstborn for a cold one, it was still worth it.
