I absolutely loved our stay at this Argosy. Everything was clean and I thought the interior was beautiful. The room was large and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE. Our King room was about $160 which is a little more than I usually pay, but it was our last night of vacation and I truly believe was worth it. The bathroom was HUGE and I found myself wishing that we were spending more than 12 hours there. I used booking.com and check-in was easy and smooth. The only negative I have is with the casino, not hotel. The only free drinks you get while gambling is water, everything else you had to pay for. Does no one comp alcohol at the table anymore?I will definitely stay here again.

The American Postal Workers Union had a Convention this past week from April 16 through the 18th. During this convention, there were several things that went wrong that I couldn't even imagine. Mind you, Im a Union Steward and was part of the host committee due to the fact, my local hosted the convention. First off, we were told guest could start checking in at 1 o'clock due to the fact that we were having a convention there. No one was able to check in until after 5:00 PM. We had people that traveled all day long and we're ready to settle in and could not do so, because they had no rooms available. After I receive my room, I notice first off my drain in my room was stopped up. I contacted the front desk about it and they never came to fix it. They also never came to clean my room my entire stay, which was beyond me. When I asked about having my room cleaned, they told me I would have to request this to be done. I thought this would be something that would have to be done every single day, so I ended up cleaning my own room. I had no clean towels the entire stay and no one came and picked up or changed my sheets or anything. I even asked a staff member about servicing the room and I was told that they no longer do that due to the fact they don't want to disturb the guest. She did offer me clean towels if I needed them and I thought to myself well that would be something that should be mandatory every single day I thought. You would think being in a hotel like this that you'll receive better treatment I would have to say no. At this point I don't even want to spend my money there on the casino floor. They definitely have to do better than what they did, especially the hospitality that they showed Our union

We haven't stayed at the Argosy in several years, and we needed a fun trip. Being offered free nights at their hotel helped us make our decision. However, after our experience, we may wait a while before we return. The hotel is quaint from the outside, and has an elegant lobby. Upon check-in, we were told that Housekeeping was not allowed to go into rooms while occupied. We would need to call the desk if we needed something. Didn't seem like a problem at the time. However, we discovered a jacket from a former guest in our closet. WHAT? That made us wonder just how clean was the rest of the area? I tried calling the desk to tell them/her, but my call was answered by reservations, and I was put on hold. There's a coffee maker and a fridge in the rooms, but your coffee allotment upon check-in is 2 pods. If you need more, you need to call the desk, or reservations. . .Long story short, when you need something, it takes a trip downstairs to the desk. Very inconvenient. Inconvenient kind of sums up our stay at the Argosy.

Argosy is one of my fave hotels in Kansas City. However, I'm deducting points because it's a hassle that they don't have microwaves anywhere on the property. I understand not having them in the rooms, but not having them anywhere on the property results in wasted take-out, wasted leftovers and forces you to eat at one of their overpriced and underwhelming eateries. Kansas City has great dining establishments and you're likely to have leftovers. If you're staying at the Argosy, you won't be able to warm them up and eat them later. Boo to that!

I stayed at the Argosy Casino/Hotel with my mom, brother, and boyfriend during spring break. We just stayed for 2 days but I was really impressed with the place. It was very nice, part of the outside was painted to look like Italian villas that you would find along the canal in Venice, and the inside was grecian-inspired sponge painted walls, spiraling ferns, and huge columns. It sounds tacky as I'm typing this, but I assure you it's not- it's very tastefully done. (And believe me, I'm not a huge 'theme' person when it comes to venues and restaurants.) The hotel room was amazing; it had a flat-panel tv and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. The bathroom was HUGE and the shower could easily fit 2 or 3 people (I didn't try though!). The shower head was one of those that is directly above your head and is supposed to resemble rainfall-- it felt amazing. Really relaxing. While we there, my boyfriend and I went to one of the little restaurants (Italian; can't think of the name) that is inside on the way to the casino. We mostly had appetizers and beer, but it was really good and less expensive than I thought it was going to be (Think Houlihan's, $8-15 per person). It was pretty casual, maybe because it was later a night. I could see it being a classier restaurant during the day/evening, but at night it transformed into a bar/lounge.We never actually made it to the casino part. Since smoking is/was still allowed in the casino and restaurant, it was a little too smoky for my taste, but I guess you know that you are getting yourself into that when you decide to go to a casino in the first place. The second time I went to Argosy, we actually went straight to the casino. I was disappointed that the drinks weren't free, but I enjoyed myself watching my friends play blackjack after spending my limit of $5 at the slot machines. If/when I decide I want to go to a casino in Kansas City again, Argosy will be my choice.

Love this Hotel, they offer late check-out so we was able to sleep in and check-out at 1pm. Each room has a door bell, bathroom are roomy, and comes with a fridge. The only it's missing is a pool and free breakfast ;)

The Hotel staff will steal your belongings.I travel frequently, so I made sure I was home and had triple checked to make sure I didn't overlook my missing items prior to calling the hotel. Called the manager, called the housekeeping manager. They promised to return my call and never did. I checked out of my hotel room and went back within hours; too late. Housekeeping already made off with a $40 power bank and all my charging accessories. The Argosy has had plenty of time to research and communicate and instead they have done nothing. There are better, SAFER hotels nearby. I highly recommend those instead.Gross mattress btw. Gross hotel in general, so no surprises there.

Pretty nice hotel. When we got to the room the bathroom was not cleaned very well. Lots of "short hairs" all over the floor, some long and short hair in shower. Went down and complained and he was going to get someone to clean it. Came back a few hrs later and it was still filthy with the same hairs. Complained again and he said he would give us 1/2 off our stay and have someone clean. It was a bit cleaner but still quite a few hairs on the floor. We probably wouldn't stay here again if that is the best the maids can clean.
