We went to the Longview Mansion tonight (12/12/24) for Sip and Shop. It was a wonderful experience where they open up this historic home. Visitation and fellowship during the holiday season. There were many people from all over town and our little area here in New Longview. My wife and I live is Kessler Ridge, so we drove less than five minutes to get to the mansion. We have been on the grounds many times before, but this was the first time we were able to visit the interior of the house. It is impressive and fun. There were lots of little pop-up shops set up inside the mansion, all on the main floor and then in a tent that extended from a sunporch on the back of the house. That was by far the biggest area to shop. The rest of the little pop-up areas were small and cozy inside the house. The staff was lovely and serving drinks, wine and food. We only had one glass of wine so we could drive home safely. We loved walking around the house, which everyone who attended was allowed to do with no drama and no supervision. Everyone I saw was super respectful of the property. Everyone we encountered was kind.It was a lovely evening. I hope they do it again next year so we can go.

This was my first time visiting theFall Sip & Shop event at this beautiful mansion. There were local vendors setup throughout the home. I was amazed at all the talent people had to make and create various items. The home is beautiful. While walking through it, all I could do was imagine how the family lived so many years ago. I was amazed at how each room, on the upper level, had a restroom in it; and it was in its original (if not, close to it) state.I would love to attend this event every year. I look forward to the holiday event that will be held on 12/5/19.

The Historic Longview Mansion has just completed a multi-million dollar renovation/restoration under the new ownership. We are pleased to have new management and a seasoned staff with 24+ years of event/wedding experience. Our head chef, Cruz Vazquez, is well known for her innovative cuisine and fresh flavors. Our Grand Opening was October 4, 2018. If you have been a guest at the mansion in previous years we invite you back. We would love for you to see our newly decorated space, fine food and service, extensive structural repair and brand new attached pavilion. We are proud of our gorgeous historical space that is newly and beautiful restored.

The Longview Mansion is an absolutely breath-taking place to hold a reception. I attended a reception here in March. The flowers and trees were in full bloom making the surrounding grounds a gorgeous site for pictures. The inside is spacious with a rustic and sophisticated feel. Everyone who provided a service during the reception was very professional. The Longview Mansion is an incredible place to hold a reception.

This review is from the perspective of a wedding guest. Out of politeness for the Bride, Groom and their respective families, I have waited a couple of months to write this review. The grounds are the only selling point. Don't get too close ...it's all down hill. The grounds were attractive and sprawling, but everything else was old, rickety and falling apart. The tables and chairs flimsy and wriggled under even the smallest of guests. I personally tried at least three chairs, before I felt safe to sit without fear of breaking a chair. I cringed with fear when I witnessed other guests sit in the chairs that I rejected. There were bugs in the light fixtures and cracks in the walls, the wood floors were scuffed up and stained. Especially the dining area. The food was inconsistent. Some of the chicken was excellent, while other guest sent back raw chicken. The beef skewers were tough and burnt. My friends pasta dish had a chunk of unmelted cream cheese that was literally 1/4 of an entire block. There was always a long wait at the bar for cocktails, because the trained bartenter left the trainee alone. She was trying, but it was clear that she was just handed a cocktail shaker for the first time 30 minutes ago. It's a long drive, smack dab in the middle of nowhere. The attention to detail was lacking. I will say...this place screams potential !!!This could be an awesome venue! But, currently...it's NOT.Seeing two people exchange vows is awe inspiring. There is nothing that diminishes the chance to share in their joy, but until they correct these problems...I can't in good conscience recommend the Longview Mansion.

I attended a corporate holiday party here recently. The mansion itself is beautiful. The staff was so attentive and friendly. The food served was pretty good too. This is a personal preference but I find that venues with multiple rooms break up the party. I like having everyone in one area so this isn't necessarily my favorite venue. It did get the job done and I thought that having the tent attached to the house was a great touch. Since it's December the weather wasn't conducive to having access to the back yard I can imagine that in the warmer months the tent and house are perfect!Overall I enjoyed my experience there.

I attended a wedding here and I was disappointed in the condition of the mansion. The house, inside and out, was not maintained at all. The staff was overbearing, you had to guard the things on your table. We went to get cupcakes and all of our napkins disappeared, my daughters went to the bathroom and their wedding favor items they wanted to keep were thrown out. The staff appearance is also not what I would have expected from a venue like this, I would expect better than ill-fitting, un-tucked, polo shirts.Overall, this place has incredible potential but is suffering from an obvious lack of leadership and attention to detail.

Longview Mansion, is a hidden treasure in Lee's Summit, MO. I have attended many dinners, events and one Wedding Reception at Longview Mansion; and have never been disappointed for anything while at the Mansion.I am in awe at the beauty of this Wonderful Old Mansion, and at night the Mansion, takes on a very Romantic and warm atmosphere you just feel like you have stepped back in time. It is very cozy inside the walls of this Historical Building; just thinking of all the stories that have been shared inside the walls of Longview, the deals that most likely were made in the Library, or setting on one of the beautiful porches, smoking a fine cigar sharing a glass of Wine, with a guest or business partner. As I have heard said many times "If Walls Could Talk". Recently I purchased tickets to the Valentine's Dinner at The Mansion, Wow! what a night of fun, this by far was the best Event I have ever attended at Longview, the Staff were so attentive to everyone attending, the food was second to none and the Program, was like something on stage at the old Heartland Theater at Crown Center, just over the top. I sure hope this is a new direction The Longview Mansion, is taking, and look forward to many more nights of Entertainment at the Mansion. Hats off to Kristin Nolte, Event Coordinator, at Longview Mansion. Kristin, and her Staff, did a fantastic job at making everyone comfortable, and providing everyone with a lasting memory of the night they had dinner at Longview Mansion. What more can I say? Well just one more thing, Don't miss the next opportunity to have dinner in the Beautiful Historical Longview Mansion......Awesome Place. Thanks Kristin, for making an Evening to Remember. What a Team you have, everyone is so nice and the Meal, served was more then a 5 Star Meal...........way MORE.
