Pretty decent Chinese buffet for the price and area. It seems small in the photos but they actually have quite a bit of options and keep them stocked and fresh. Also has a dessert bar! The only weird part is their partial Mexican food in the buffet. I didn't try it, as it didn't look appetizing. But seemed strange for a Chinese buffet.

well for one thing you cant back off the website without getting the order placed. and for the price, how about some food???? 60 dollars for something that wouldnt hardly feed a family of birds!!! under cooked rice and hardly any meat in the combo fried rice!!! only good thing was the hot and sour soup!!!

I wish I can give this place 0 stars.The Happy Dragon is one of the worst restaurants I have eaten at in Kansas City. To begin, the silverware and plates were dirty. The stations around the food was dirty. When we got the food, it was not fresh and moldy. When we discussed this with the manager, he was apologetic but argumentative at the same time. He gave us 15 percent discount and said he would have given us 50 percent off if we ate the moldy food. It is ridiculous. Stay away from The (Un)happy Dragon!

All you can eat Chinese Hot Pot! They have fresh seafood options like whole shrimp, crawfish, and mussels as well as thinly sliced meats like beef and lamb. There's a wide variety of noodles, mushrooms, and veggies (tong ho and bok choy). They have a variety of broths to choose from but always get the herbal white broth and the spicy Sichuan broth. AYCE hot pot is available all day Saturday and Sunday but during the weekdays, only from 5-9 PM. Highly recommend this place if hot pot is your jam!

It was just ok!Nothing special, kinda disappointed!Won't be returning sorry to say.

They are not buffet, they are single serve "panda express" style.No indication if that on their website or other reviews.

Once a go to Chinese buffet at 435 and State line now a sad reminder of what can happen when you let quality and service slip. They've downsized evidently due to lack of customers. Not that long ago you couldn't find a parking spot. Short staffed and poor service. The server(?) only cleared empty plates. No silverware, napkins or "can I get you anything " should you tip in this situation? Obviously leftover rice, noodles and generals chicken. The highlight was the chicken wings. No towels in the bathroom. Sad they've fallen so far. Scratch this place off your list.

Bad customer service! I had an issue with my order and wanted a refund instead of my food remade which is what they wanted to do but because I paid cash they refused to refund me and even called police when I asked about proper signage stating the refusal. I work hard for my money and shouldn't be forced to support a place with distasteful food. Could explain why the whole lobby was empty!

RUNNN DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!This place used to be good but terrible business attitude. I ordered two full orders of rice in two separate orders. The woman did not have my second order ready saying she was confused even though both were paid for. She was upset I asked for sweet and sour sauce for each dinner order and gave me watery orange sauce. Entire Plate was disgusting. The rice was cold and had no flavor. Tasted very rushed and would never eat here again after ordering several times prior. They had little better roach bugs crawling around beer the check out counter and acted as if it wasn't there when she obviously seen me looking at it . So disgusting

First time getting take-out from here .The woman that handled the order was very nice.All the different dishes we ordered were all very good .large amount of food,very hot.Definitely we will order from here again .
