The Grinder Man is a great little local Old School Sub shop. Nothing fancy but consistently good subs for over 50 years now.

It is a very nice Mom and Pop sandwich shop. A lot better than a franchise sandwich shop. There is plenty of seating. The sandwiches were amazing, so we're the employees. Thank you for feeding us

I enjoyed a very competent "grinder" sandwich, which came with an interesting assortment of default toppings. Relatively mild, but interesting. Not sandwich Nirvana, but a solid option. The dining room has a wild west theme which is dated but works. The bathrooms are straight outta 1957 with no renovations since, but otherwise serviceable.

Old school. And by that, I mean old. But not in a bad way. The inside has been frozen for decades, but, you don't go to a joint and order a grinder in a place with great ambiance! Ask anyone who's ever been to NYC: it should be dark, it should be quick, and it's really all about the food. $4.50 for a 6" sandwich loaded with everything a grinder should be: fresh meat, good cheese, and chopped veg. It's not Subway, praise the Lord. If you want something tasty, go. If you want a $5 footlong with plenty of cheap meat and bagged lettuce, continue to the fast food chain of your choice

I've lived in Ark City for a little over a year and have never been to grinder man. Me and my girlfriend decided to go and was very disappointed. When we ordered the cashier said they were out of bread for subs and only had Kaisers. She gave me a small little container of meatballs that I had paid $8 for. The meatballs were average. So if you find yourself craving a sandwich in ark city best bet is to go to subway.

Ate here for the first time yesterday. My daughters sandwich was a hero. Very delicious and hot. Ordered a frosted cookie to with it. It was absolutely melt in your mouth good. In the top 5 cookies I've had in my life actually! I ordered an Italian salad. One of 2 salads on the menu. I'm trying to watch my carbs and such, so a salad was the only choice. It was good but small. Wish they'd add a couple of salads to their menu. That's the reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5. If you're not dieting however, there's plenty of sandwiches that look delicious though. Will definitely be back!

Paid $7.50 for a chicken sandwich, no sides or drink! Nah, I'll never go back. Ruined my childhood memory of the place.

Needed to find a place to eat in town, so I checked Yelp + saw the reviews mention this place. Got one of their sandwiches for dinner. Also got to speak with Quentin the owner for a bit: he and his wife opened the place back around 1978; it was renovated then, and it still looks in decent shape.
