The Gallery Event Space is just that. A big open room that you can sort of turn into anything. In my opinion, you'd have to work pretty hard to make this place look cool and unique. It's got white walls and a small stage area (maybe changeable?). One redeeming factor is that it is pretty big. Obviously the location is prime as well. When I was there, the credit card machines were down. I don't know if this was an issue with the event space or a vendor, but it made things difficult because there wasn't an ATM close by. I would probably go elsewhere to hold a larger event.

Went here for a charity event with a few of my colleagues. It's a beautiful venue and perfect around this Fall time. The night lights are on outside and you can see from the Gallery windows all warm inside. This place is great for a large crowd and can easily fit 20-30 tables with food/bar. Restrooms is close to the entrance/exit. The walls are white but the ceilings has lights and if you want to decor this place up, it could be pretty even for a wedding or an outing. Definitely a well spacious and clean venue.

Modern glam space in the heart of down town KC. Stairs and elevator make it really accessible. Vast open area to use like a blank canvas for any event. At entering on my left it was all windows with a front and center view of the power and light district. They have my vote for the Best outdoor patio with a view of downtown. Easily see it being favored as a wedding reception venue. Sparkly clean ladies room and a coat check if needed. Staff were kind and efficient keeping the event running smoothly. Our parking was free with validation, bring your ticket with you to the gallery.

I've had the chance to attend a variety of events at The Gallery; Office parties, Mardi Gras, Yelp events, just to name a few. It earns major points for versatility, the urban location, and friendliness from the staff. Many of the events I have frequented here have come in the colder/darker months, so I really enjoy looking out the big glass windows and seeing the buildings and decorative lights strung all around. Really makes for a fun vibe all around. The interior lighting is not my favorite, as it generally has purples/pinks and colors that I'm not a huge fan of - again that's totally my personal perspective. The space holds a ton of people well, and has bathrooms tucked away but easily accessible. It's definitely a newer space, and one that's made to mold to fit an event. For instance, some of the older West Bottoms spaces are bound to have some more built in character as their walls tell decades of stories, and The Gallery is a bit different in that regard. However, it does a good job of being a warm, inviting event space. I always like coming down here, particularly on those cold winter nights when you're surrounded by the tall buildings, walking around inside the skyline itself and popping up the stairs for what's always been a fun event here.

I attended a Yelp Elite event here or I would have never known that it even existed.Hiding on the second floor above Bristol Seafood Grill and adjacent to Kill Devil Club, The Gallery is at the epicenter of KCMO's Power & LIght District, a large event space with more than enough room for 11 restaurant stations, a wine and a beer bar, tables and high tops, and 100 or so KC Yelp Elite and our significant others. The Gallery is tastefully simple yet modern in design and functionality, a great place for 2016's first Elite event or any small to medium size event for that matter. Not knowing how much the space rents for, I cannot make assumptions regarding "value" here. However, a space this large, tasteful, and centrally located in Kansas City's hottest bar and restaurant scene would be difficult to compete with, no matter the price.CombatCritic Gives The Gallery Event Space 8 Bombs Out Of 10 ... I had an opportunity to attend the grand opening event at Gallery, and I was quite impressed. I think it's going to be quite popular! It's a rather large space with a capacity of around 500 for cocktail, and obviously less for seated dining. True to it's name, this space is a massive, blank slate. Vast white walls that would be perfectly suited to hanging art are also a pretty convenient way to make sure the decor doesn't interfere with what an event planner has in mind. The ceiling is really cool, with glowing panels that can easily switch to most any color. I can see plenty of brides be all about matching the ceiling to their wedding color. Oh brides, you're so funny. My FAVORITE part of this space, however, has to be the massive patio. Overlooking 14th street, this outdoor space has a beautiful view of the downtown skyline and also overlooks the Drunken Fish patio (which, BTW is looking pretty nice too!) With a cool breeze, this was a wonderful place to hang out during dusk. My only concern with this space is the number of bathrooms. It shares facilities with The Kill Devil right next door, and it didn't seem like there all that many spots. That being said, I never had to wait in line for the bathroom, so maybe i'm making something out of nothing. All in all, I really like this event space, and I think it will fill a niche in the Power and Light district. The P&L has been hitting some major strides lately, and I suspect that they can add Gallery to the win column.

What a gorgeous space. I was here for a Restaurant Week event and even though there were quite a few people and lots of venders the space did not seem crowded at all. The space is very beautiful and, with the patio, it will hold you, all your nearest and dearest, and a few hundred others. The staff was amazing as well.

My husband and I got married here over Labor Day weekend, and could not have asked for a better setting to our wedding day. When we first started looking for venues, I thought we'd never find a location in Kansas City that looked beautiful & modern -- AND had a separate space for the ceremony and location. The Gallery fit the bill and more. We ended up having our ceremony in the beautiful Kill Devil Club, and the cocktail / reception took place in The GAllery. Everything that the venue was in charge of was top-notch, from the planning process to the execution. As a lot of other couples can relate to, we planned every step of our wedding rather than hiring our coordinator or handing it off to our parents. The level of detail involved can at times become overwhelming, but working with Jessica, the Gallery's wedding coordinator, made this as stress-free is possible. She is so professional, responsive, fun and most of all, was clearly committed to making sure we had the day we envisoned. Her flexibility, open-mindedness and professionalism cannot be overstated.Ultimately -- we can highly recommend this for any type of event. Fair pricing, GREAT location & style, and wonderful staff. Thank you again!

What can I say-- Jessica and her crew made my Covid wedding a dream come true. First let's talk about the space. The Bridal Suite is perfect, mirrors everywhere, and the lighting is spot on. The venue is so spacious it was easy to social distance our wedding. The high ceilings were the BEST and the balcony overlooking downtown is absolute perfection. Location is great for surrounding hotels, we just walked to our hotel afterwards, but there are lots of different nightlife activities to do as well (Power & Light District) Our wedding guests RAVED about the food, and we did late night food too-- best decision ever!! Jessica was hands on from beginning to end, super professional, super sweet and she KNOWS her stuff! Her staff was very attentive and I just want to relive my dream wedding over and over and over!!
