The Foot Spot

They really care about getting you the best shoe for your foot health. I love my Aetrex tennis shoes. They're even better than my Hokas.

I have extremely high arches, a chronic running injury and feet that are in between 2 sizes. I'm not one of those people who can just grab any old pair of cheap shoes at Old Navy or Walmart. My shoes have to actually help my feet as I go about my day, and The Foot Spot has helpful employees and a nice selection of shoes for people who realize that good shoes may be an expensive investment, but they're worth it in the long run. For my running & walking shoes, I wear Brooks or Asics. I don't believe those brands are available here, but the store Elite Feet has them and they're easy to find online too. For summer shoes and special occasion shoes I like Foot Spot's selection the best. They have brands like Vionic, Tape, Wolky, and Finn, to name just a few. Most of them are still pretty to look at and not screaming 'I have problem feet that are hard to fit so I have to wear these butt ugly shoes' like used to be the case. There are many choices for men & women here. You probably won't find anything less than $60 and they can go upwards of $200 or more, but they do have a sale room filled with lots of great deals- I scored some darling New Balance rose gold sandals for only $27!! Get on their mailing list to get coupons, offers, and notifications of sales.

This is a preliminary review based on my first visit. There will be at least two subsequent visits, as they recommend, and I will update as needed.I walked in on my size 16 feet with mobility issues that have been a conundrum to a number of GPs and podiatrists. I can only comfortably walk about half a mile at a time. Gretchen greeted me warmly when my friend and I walked in, and set to work looking at my feet, their flexibility or lack thereof, and how I walk (awkwardly). She looked at the store-bought orthotics in my shoes and noted that they were not worn at my arch, where they should have been if they had provided my arch sufficient -- or any -- support. We also noticed that my New Balance shoes were pretty thoroughly worn out.She took impressions of my feet for custom-made orthotics - a five minute process. In a couple of weeks, those will arrive along with my new size 16 New Balance 990s. Until then, she gave me a packet of information to read about how this all works.The orthotics aren't cheap, but if they get me back to the point where I can comfortably walk and my stability is not compromised, they will be worth every penny. Gretchen exuded competence, expertise, experience, and a friendly cordiality during our visit. It feels like I finally found somebody who can address the problem I've been having, and I feel the sense of relief anyone feels when an entrenched problem finally finds the person who may be able to solve it. I will be eager to come back and see how everything works.

I've had foot/ ankle issues for the past year and a half. I was recommended to The Foot Spot from my podiatrist. I'm so glad he did, they were great! My dad and I both got custom orthotics and we worked with Janelle who was phenomenal! She was friendly and extremely helpful, making sure we were taken care of and our orthotics would be perfect. I would highly recommend her and the foot spot of you're looking for shoe inserts or needing specialty shoes!

It took several minutes for the shoe & foot expert to notice that we needed his help. However, once he did help us, his ability to diagnose the cause my wife's ailing foot problems and pain was impressive. Then the knowledge he had of the resources at his disposal to help her correct the foot issues causing her pain. The shoes and insoles he had her try immediately eased the pain in her feet.

If you want to fix your painful feet or avoid bad feet when you are older, you need to visit this store at Ranchmart. I worked with Gretchen Brewer and she was excellent. She assessed my walking gait and diagnosed my problem and offered solutions. My over pronation had caused a sore corn on my right foot(my fault I was wearing sketchers which have minimal arch support). Gretchen helped me try on different shoes with a performance arch support and I found a pair that were perfect. When I walked in to the store my right foot was hurting. When I walked out in my new shoes, no pain. I am still pain free in those shoes/arch support. This is the place to get great advice and great shoes(love the Altra).

Excellent service. Gretchen and Nancy were wonderful with knowledge and trying to determine the best resolution to reduce my discomfort. They were knowledgeable, kind, and caring.

I went to the Foot Spot a few weeks ago, looking for a pair of walking shoes. They took the time to analyze my gait, explained my specific foot shape (high arches) and how that impacts me if I don't have proper arch support, and brought out 3 different pairs of shoes to try, along with their store-specific insoles. What a difference those insoles have made! I appreciate the time they took with me to observe and explain things. I highly recommend this location.

My podiatrist recommended The Foot Spot and, out of desperation (and pain), it has become my go-to shoe place. I was afraid I would only find "old lady" shoes, but am so pleased that I get compliments on my shoes, even from the "hip" girls! Best of all, my foot pain has radically decreased.

The best selection of boots in town and on sale. I found a beautiful pair of black leather laced boots for under $65. The insoles in the boots are perfect for my feet and the support feels great. Love the staff at Foot Spot. I've shopped in this store for many years and always find high quality shoes and boots, plus my favorite socks are from Foot Spot. Its nice to shop for shoes where the staff really knows what they're talking about. Your feet will thank you.
