The Depot

Passing through and so glad I passed on the hotel's breakfast and came here. The staff are all so welcoming and kind. The owner was here, there and everywhere on top of everything ensuring great customer experience.My waiter was Nick and he just was such a bright spot. Driving from California to Florida with my dog is a dreary adventure and smiles and kind attention really made this stop a great respite.I came for breakfast, which I had (railway), but I love bread pudding, so had to order that too. Getting ready to leave with left overs galore to enjoy tonight. Poached eggs - I asked for soft and the cook aced it!!! And these look and taste like true farm eggs (raised Rhode Island Reds years ago).Bread Pudding - oh my! So delicious and I got the prize, a corner piece. It's a meal in itself.Coffee - no one hardly ever mentions the coffee, but best coffee I've had since leaving home!The environment is charming. I love history and you can just imagine train passengers of a bygone era coming and going. Lovely and homey place due to the decor.

First the fact that the building was built in the 1800s when architecture was beautiful and functional. Then they have great good comfort type food with some modern flair. Add on that they have lighter options, which I can't wait to try next time. But the fifth star is because of the service though. This group works together better than anywhere I've ever been! I was amazed!

Stopped by here to have breakfast with a coworker before a conference. He had biscuit and gravy and I had 2 eggs, ham, and hash browns. We also had coffee and orange juice. It was all hot and fresh and very tasty. The wait staff was amazing! They were attentive to our table and were quick to respond with condiments we ran out of. I would have given it 5 stars but the lady at the desk who took my payment did not even speak to me. She took the bill, pointed silently at the payment screen and acted as if we were not there. That was unfortunate as the breakfast was awesome. Will stop by the next time I am in town and hopefully it will end better.

Wow!! What a treat!! The Depot was a bright spot in our trip to Leavenworth. Grace was an amazing server and took excellent care of us. I had 2 eggs, delicious crispy hash browns, and 3 sausage patties. I ordered two extra patties because they were so delicious.My wife had some eggs, biscuits and gravy and sausage as well. She got some hashbrowns, too. She loved every bite of all of it. I thought the restaurant was very cute and definitely a historic building. We will have breakfast here every time we return to Leavenworth. It was just excellent!

Everything was delicious! Grace our server was excellent and efficient! Food came out super fast too! My friend had the Turkey club pictured. I scoffed down my smoked chicken hash w/sweet potatoes that I didn't get a photo. If we lived closer it would become a staple!!

Great place. My second time going and the food was good both times.Bonnie was great and personable and attentive.They have a small town feel inside. Nice original touches that make you feel like you walked in grandma's house.

Cute place that was exactly what it says-a former train depot. Service was awesome. The owner greeted and seated us. Food was good. Portion sizes not too big. Only complaint-the coffee didn't stay hot inside the pot LOL

While visiting Leavenworth, I had a few mornings with enough time to get a decent breakfast. The Depot was highly rated, and did not disappoint. My wife and I tried two of the hash/Benedict breakfast plates, and both were amazing. The coffee was excellent and they left a carafe on the table for refills. Finally - there was a changing table in the men's restroom, which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine with restaurants. Thank you for that!
