The DeLeon Event Space And Chapel

I'm not certain where to start with this because it was all so overwhelming (in the best ways of course). The DeLeon's were absolutely attentive to myself, my groom, our guests and our schedule for the entirety of our big night. They recommended their favorite officiant (Pastor Williams) and caterer (Katie's Catering) since they know them so well and they are familiar with how things work and you can't ask for much more than that when it comes to having an amazing team on your side working together to create the perfect night to remember. This lovely couple-run event space works hard to ensure they are in tune with your needs and even worked within our budget in a way no other venue has ever attempted to do. These people truly care about your experience even more than themselves and will go the extra mile to make sure it's everything you wanted it to be and more. They were with me every step of the way in terms of arranging meetings and planning the event - even to coordinating with the vendors so it takes a whole load of stress off the soon to be newly-weds. I even recall having a few short panic attacks to the months leading up to the day of the wedding and they phoned me to psyche me up and pep talk me out of my haze.If any of my friends are looking for a stunning wedding space (WITH THE RECEPTION ON SITE!!! A huge rarity these days!) I will always recommend this place to the moon and back.

Being new to Missouri I had no clue where to start..I had two weeks to find the perfect place. I was booking 3-4 venues a day trying to find the one...I was even considering not having the wedding in KC because the venues didn't have that "WOW" factor. I pulled up to The DeLeon..before I got out of my car I called my fiancé and told him that I hadn't looked at the venue yet but I know this is THE ONE This brick building was a beauty. I've never seen a place so beautiful in my life. Jodie greeted me at the door for a tour and she was just as beautiful as her venue. As I looked around in every room with Every step I took I fell more and more in love with this place. The colors and all the decor the venue had were so me! I booked another tour the following week so my fiancé can have a look...We took the tour with Eric. Eric is a blast and his personality lights up the room. He's the type of person you can talk to for hours yet it feels like minutes. Good guy! My fiancé was so quiet I couldn't tell if he liked the venue I was getting worried. when the tour was complete and we were in the parking lot he looked at me and said this is the one I was beyond excited and it was time to start planning. I've never been married before and I felt so overwhelmed. Jodie and Eric were always available by phone, text, or email and I can honestly say without their help I couldn't have done this all. They directed me to the caterer, DJ Mike with Fernando productions, the photographer Jared Cook with JC photography, the florists, etc. I got the best of the best! Jodie and Eric helped with me the colors, the lighting, and table decor. Not one detail was missed and I seen it all come together on our wedding day of 2/22. I was blown away seeing all the final touches Jodie and Eric did. Candles were lit, rose petals were down, music filled the air and they did it with smiles on their faces and were ready to make my day one to remember. This place felt so alive and magical. They treated me like family. I felt so comfortable. I wish I can do it all over again and I wouldn't change a thing. Jodie and Eric was with us step by step. They directed us the whole way through. My hubby and I got lost a moment when we were cutting the cake and all we had to do was look at Eric and we were back on track.I had one of the hardest dresses to bustle and both Jodie and Eric jumped in and got it figured out together.They love what they do and they do it flawlessly. And ladies make sure to tell your guests that the centerpieces aren't available for take home..my mother thought they were and had her eye on a gold glitter tree. I was so embarrassed she ran off with it but it turned out to be one of the best highlights of the night. Eric had a good time teasing me about it and a hilliarious video surfaced on social media that has me laughing to this day still. Those are the types of memories I have booking my wedding with Jodie and Eric @ The DeLeon. I'm confident No other venue will compare. Thank you sooo much Jodie and Eric DeLeon. Tears filled my eyes typing that you made the most important day in my life one to remember and cherish forever

We love Jodie and Eric. They made our lives so much easier planning a wedding from out-of-town! We found their venue after our original venue fell through and we started looking around. It hadn't been open very long but we could tell after one trip to KC we wanted the space and more importantly, we wanted the DeLeons on our team. They were warm, professional, caring, and detail-oriented. They are personally invested in making YOU look and feel good, not just showcasing you as a bride in THEIR space. They have spacious Bride and Groom suites for getting ready in/photo ops, a beautiful chapel with wooden pews and a ballroom ready to be set how you envision your event. With their experience, they know when and where things should be happening, how to execute the wedding party down the aisle, timing the dinner and how to handle just about any crisis! (For example, we had two late guests come bumbling in the front door as I was waiting in the wings ready to walk down the aisle! Eric zeroed in on them, got on the walkie, and got them seated in the side aisle before I could even pick my jaw up off the ground! And nobody was the wiser and it didn't ruin my entrance!). Having the ceremony and reception all in one place was perfect for our guests since they literally walked down the hall and got the party started! No worries about lost guests or being held up in traffic. We loved that the tables, chairs, linens, bar package, and other rentals were all included so we didn't have to bother with one more thing in planning our destination wedding! In short, tour the Deleon for the amazingly photogenic spaces but sign on the line for the amazing Deleon team!

The minute we realized Covid-19 could affect our wedding plans, we started talking to Jodi DeLeon. But first, we reviewed the contract and realized that there was no way to get out of the contract or reschedule for any reason whatsoever. That is typical of wedding venue contracts. But when we called, Jodi allowed us to delay our payment and reschedule if necessary. We couldn't reschedule, but the DeLeons were super helpful in thinking through alternatives for having the wedding at their venue even if the city limited the number of attendees. We went from despair to excitement about the possibilities. Don't let negative reviews fool you. These are awesome people to work with!

Do not rent this venue. Owners are rude and disrespectful to not only me(mother of the groom) but my entire family and guests that attended my son's wedding. Very unprofessional, disappointing and sad.

I don't even know where to begin! Jodie and Eric are the best! I live out of state and when looking for venues I saw The DeLeon and fell in love with it. I booked an appointment to see the venue and after meeting Jodie and Eric and seeing the venue in person, I knew I had to book. From the very beginning they have been there for me. They know what they are doing and you can tell they love doing it. Living out of state makes planning a wedding a bit difficult, however they gave me a list of excellent vendors and that made everything so much easier. Any question I had was answered right away and everything seemed to be going well. Then the pandemic hit. We were at our two week out meeting with Jodie and I was having a complete melt down. I will never be able to thank Jodie enough for how she treated me that day. She is the absolute best! A couple days later we have to postpone the wedding. It's not what we wanted to do but we didn't really have a choice. Jodie was very accommodating during this unprecedented time. We rescheduled the wedding and was able to reschedule all the vendors as well for the new date. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and all I can say is that had I not had Jodie there, the wedding would have been a disaster. I was so overwhelmed with everything going on and Jodie was there the whole time to make sure we stayed on schedule and everything went perfect for our special day. I highly recommend The DeLeon Event Space, the venue is absolutely beautiful and the owners are great. If you do book with them, please listen to them about which vendors to use. They know what they are talking about.

Did not even want to give one star. Lost every single penny we worked so hard for. We have 5 beautiful children and planned this perfect wedding FOR YEARS. "National Pandemic" happens and everything is turned upside down. This of course is out of The owners and I control, but instead of offering us a refund of any amount, we are told to choose between July and August or lose everything. This day meant more to us than we should even have to explain. We wanted this to be perfect, Instead, the year doesn't work for us outside of the day we paid for and the owner begins to tell us about a "contract" that we signed that had no listing of anything out of our control except deployment. ooops she did include death on a facebook post. We worked numerous jobs in and out to make this one day extra special and the venue takes everything we worked so hard for and we do not get to experience this one special day. She stated the governor only "SUGGESTED" a limited amount of people and we were still able to host our event on 4/4/2020. Well i have two children with Aarskog syndrome who are high risk and could not even leave the house. (so have a wedding w/o two of my children nor my family and friends just so we dont lose out on our money) not knowing when this will even end. Please dont waste money or time, she would rather argue (her way or the highway) per her contract than show any empathy or compassion. Of course she would like to talk about not cancelling our wedding due to split payments because now look, she has every penny requested and we are out every single dime and no wedding

I highly recommend this venue! Not only is the venue itself stunning and breathtaking, the staff is exceptional. I personally went on 2 tours of the venue, one on behalf of the bride who lives in Texas and a second one with her when she was in town. Each time Jodie and Eric presented the venue with so much pride in what they do. They answered every question with so much detail. On the day of the wedding, everything was exactly what they had promised. I use the terms "a well oiled machine" because that was exactly our experience. As the maid of honor of my cousins wedding I was blown away with our service we received from Jodi and Eric, to the 2 kind bartenders, the DJ, and the fun photographers. They made this experience so pleasant and stress free. A huge thanks to the DeLeons, you all are such a hard working family with so much passion for what you do, it truly radiates from all of you. Thank you for making this experience for our family so memorable.
