We found Heaven (and we're vegan!!) - this place is off the HOOK with vegan-friendly options, and all the carnivores seem *really* happy too! They have nopales (cactus, which is a great meat substitute), several varieties of ORGANIC soy substitutes for meat (including ceviche, pastor and 3 more I don't remember since I haven't eaten flesh in over 30 years), and have house-made vegan cheese (and are working on perfecting a vegan sour cream!)... plus, they have separate prep stations for veg heads.And, this chef is a true ARTIST. We tried one of each (7?) of the vegan-friendly tacos (taco Tuesdays!!)... the squash blossom, soy chorizo, poblano Chile, and mushroom tacos were all INCREDIBLE, although my non-spicy tolerant hubby found the poblanos a bit too spicy. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I looooopved the suer spicy specialty salsa, which is the hottest and tastiest I have EVER found in a restaurant.Did I mention vegan posole and chilaquiles are possible?! And the service is very friendly and attentive but in no way intrusive.Our favorite restaurant!!

Probably the best VEGAN MEXICAN FOOD I'VE HAD! I I was visiting the city for a family event and looked up some vegan options, not so into the city, but just closer to where I was in the outskirts. This location popped up. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a whole vegan menu which I think is unheard of from a restaurant that's not fully vegan. I had vegan churros which were delicious. I wasn't too sure what was the in dipping sauce but I did not use all of it. As for the vegan sope I thought it was fantastic, never had a vegan version of this and then I also had a vegan taco. I was expecting more than one taco considering it was almost 6 dollars for just one.Overall I would highly recommend it and next time if I were in the area, I would definitely dine in. Another thing the door was closed 20 minutes before closing and a worker did have to come in and see if I was there for a pick up order

SO glad we found this place! Delicious vegetarian / vegan Mexican food for me and my husband LOVED the chicken mole. The handmade corn tortillas and tamales were so awesome! VEGAN street tacos - amazing. We will be going back, as there were too many options (yes, even too many vegetarian options!) to choose from. Delicious horchata, great service. Loved the ambiance... cozy, traditional. Try The Corner Mexican restaurant.

I've been meaning to try the corner for a VERY long time, and I'm so glad I finally did. It's kind of a fusion of traditional Tex mex options and more authentic Mexican cuisine which I adore. I don't eat meat so I ordered off the vegan menu. There were a TON of vegan options!! I was so torn on what to order but opted for the green enchiladas. They hit the spot. Also both of the homemade salsas were insanely tasty. Perfect amount of heat. I could almost drink them, I wish I could buy it in stores. My friend had the birria quesadillas and reported they were delicious as well. I'm looking forward to bringing my family here to try the rest of their menu!

I decided to look at the Yelp reviews for another Mexican restaurant, near my house, and so many people commented on the tacos here that I decided to go to The Corner, Mexican restaurant. Boy am I glad I did!I was greeted warmly in the middle of a Friday afternoon and advised to sit anywhere I liked. I was charmed by their hospitality right away. I asked the effervescent server what she would recommend for a first timer who wanted some tacos and she steered me toward the Birria beef or chicken tacos. She advised me that if I ordered five or more it would come with a gravy/dipping sauce. To my fortune, I complied. I ordered one chicken and four beef tacos, and they were outstanding!I've had tacos all over Mexico, both on the mainland, and in Baja, in the coastal areas and the interior. These tacos are in the top three that I have ever had! They are absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend the Birria tacos and especially the dipping sauce that comes with them that takes something magnificent into astronomical realms. I can't wait to return with my wife and work our way through their amazing menu. The Birria Ramen and Al Pastor are up next.

I've been here multiple times. Their tamales and tacos are outstanding. So many choices. They have fast service and everything I've ever had here was top quality. I've been to more than a dozen KC area Mexican restaurants and this is my favorite. Highly recommend.

Originally went to Housewife and they had no place to sit. Decided to try corner Mexican because it was across the street. This is really authentic. Most of the menu you wouldn't find in other Kansas City Mexican restaurants. I got the Chili rellenos and my daughter got 2 asada tacos and esquites. All was good. Will come back just to try new dishes. Service was also very good.
