The Big Biscuit

This restaurant is amazing. Hot chocolate was enjoyed by our grandkids. We come here a couple times a year, our service was excellent and very attentive and friendly. Restrooms were very clean and everyone was willing to help

Restaurant is clean but crowded Service was a bit slow but server was friendly. Food good with big portions. Ordered the Ham steak w/ eggs and the Traditional eggs Benedict.

A friend from work invited me to breakfast and suggested Big Biscuit. Although I have a few other favorite breakfast and brunch spots in town, I pride myself on being easy to schedule with, so I took him up on the offer and popped into this location for the first time!My expectations were somewhat low, due to a very "meh" experience at another location long ago, but that was all quickly avenged when I stepped in and was greeted by a lovely, clean space and a warm, welcoming host who walked me to a table, while asking about my day so far!That exceptional service was maintained by our awesome waitress and server while we dined! Our waitress was exceptional, especially for this level of eatery. She answered all our goofy dietary questions, walked us through the menu, recommended some favorites, and just when I thought I'd come up with a request that would surely be rebutted with a "sorry, we can't do that," and a scowl, she smiled and said, "no problem!"When the food arrived, it was PERFECT, and just as I had asked! While that may seem an obvious chain of events, it has, unfortunately, become the exception at most places, especially when there is any special request. Not here! Our waitress and the cook at Big Biscuit hit the nail on the head, and the meal was wonderful!And, what about the famous (infamous?!) biscuits from the name on the store? Yup - they're pretty darn good, and are also fairly big! I recommend!Everything was so good on that visit that we have since met twice more at this same location, and had the same great experience each subsequent time!Food = 5/5Facility = 4/5Service = 5/5Ambiance = 3/5Value = 4/5

The place has plenty of indoor seating and limited patio seating. Parking is abundant. For an open concept restaurant the Boise level is lower than most places. Family orientated. Large menu to choose from. My breakfast potatoes could have been cooked longer. Everything else was of good quality. The coffee is average compared to other breakfast places. The staff are friendly, attentive and very helpful. Love the floors in the place.

I was impressed with this place when it comes to flavors and overall plating! The chicken fried steak was perfectly crispy and the gravy had a great savory flavor. Not too much or too little of it either!I asked for extra icing on the sticky biscuit and this was great, but honestly I could have used more. The biscuits are thick enough a lot of bites are just plain bread which is not my jam. The icing and the outside (coated layer) of the biscuit tasted great!We got on the wait list within 10 minutes so overall a quick turnaround and we barely waited for our dishes despite being a group of 6. Great service and good brunch vibes especially with their outdoor patio/umbrella tables!

Crackle Barrel. First Watch. IHOP. Ginger Sue's...you have your fair share of breakfast and brunch options. Here is our experience with Big Biscuit:Customer Service: 8/10 I find customer service to be hit or miss whenever we come for our quarterly visit to this location. This time, we had a good experience. Our server was very sweet and attentive. She was not pushy and did not rush us out once we were finished. I find that the hostess needs some work. Diversity: 9.5/10 Kudos to the manager and staff at this location. They have a good amount of people from different cultures working, which was a delight to see. I also saw a lot of teamwork and communication among the staff, which is a plus. Food: 9/10 Both hubby and I got the Belgian waffle platter. It was a hefty portion. The waffle was crispy, light, and airy with just enough powdered sugar. The syrup could have been warmer, but it was not a deal breaker. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned well and the bacon was cooked nicely. I just wish there was more of it! I also got a hot chocolate which was really good but it had too much whipped cream for me. I do think the food is a tiny bit overpriced, but for $30, it's cheaper than other breakfast places in town. Location: 7/10 Admittedly, Olathe can do better on restaurant selection. I do feel neighboring cities like Overland Park and Lenexa have better eating options, especially for breakfast and brunch options. Sometimes you want something that is more than your standard fare. I do enjoy mom and pop shops for breakfast, but I am also hoping we get a Snooze or Another Broken Egg at some point. That said, Big Biscuit is a decent option. Overall: 8/10 BB is always solid and consistent. We have not been disappointed with this location and always leave satisfied. If you are wanting something more trendy, First Watch may be a better option. For a more upscale atmosphere, you'll have to travel to OP for Another Broken Egg or Snooze.

Average spot, nothing great or bad. You get good food, fast and service is good. Just like any IHOP or Dennys.

Great breakfast spot with multiple KC locations. Menu has plenty of items to please every pallet. Almost always start our visit here with a sticky biscuit, they're delightful. So far each breakfast we've all had here has been incredible. Always an option when we are wanting to go out and grab breakfast.

Went there for the first time ! I loved the breakfast. I got Jim's platter and it was more than enough! Only finished half the biscuit because it's so huge! Can't wait to go back before I leave back from home

We came in first thing the greeter was disrespectful joined the waitlist and then some how got bumped down to 5 in line. When we finally got seated customers that got sat after us got served with the same waiter food and drink, the chocolate milk made my kids feel ill, tried to use the restroom both restrooms out of order, manger never acknowledge us on how we are doing. Will never go back to this location. Btw not trying to be a Karen just worse experience ever for my birthday. The only worker there that was decent was the person that sat us down.
