We Took a short drive to excelsior springs to explore the cute downtown area. We came across this saloon that is hiding a brewery indoors! The bartender gave us such amazing customer service explaining the history and the craft beers. We got called away to our lunch reservation and they were so kind to hold our flight for us upon our return. Highly recommend if your looking for some craft beer, friendly faces and a dive bar feel!

Limited beer selection but still a great spot! Historic location in the downtown area. Bartender was nice and even shared some of the historic details with us while we ordered our drinks. We enjoyed the cooled (AC) location, tasty popcorn and a few games of shuffleboard. Would visit this quaint historic location again.

As of May 19 2018 it is now also known as the Atlas Saloon Brewery. So not only is there friendly staff in this beautiful bar dating back to 1894, now they are making their own beer. And I have to tell you, it is FANTASTIC. Every beer we sampled was spot-on, and their take on an Irish Stout is hands-down the very best non-BA stout I have ever tasted (and I have tasted hundreds). This place is a gem!

We were in Excelsior Springs for a wine walk and stumbled upon Atlas and we were instantly glad we did! The master brewer Keith was super helpful introducing us to their beers and made sure we had everything we needed. All the staff was friendly and helpful, they had TVs showing the Royals game, and songs were playing on the jukebox. Oh, did I mention there's free popcorn while you're drinking? That's right, free delicious popcorn. The vodka soda I had was great, and we can't wait to stop in again on our next trip to Excelsior Springs.

Went there for drinks one summer night. The place was empty except for some locals who made us the brunt of their jokes. The place has tin roofs and their voices carried. Had one drink and left to go to the fun bar up the street.

The wife and I just stopped in as we were checking out the downtown shops. At first it seemed that it was a local bar for locals, but that didn't last long. The bartender greeted us and explained some of the beers that they brewed then introduced us to the head brewer Kieth. We enjoyed the beer flight and followed that up with a couple very good beers. We left for a while and then returned for a couple more. My advice is that if you walk in the Atlas Saloon and it feels like it's just for locals, just give it a few minutes and you may feel like one of the locals before you know it.

If its a bar you want, this is a solid place. In addition to anything else you want, they have several beers of their own. Friendly bartender; had a great talk with the main brewer. Historic spot which is interesting and unique.
