The 180 Room

I'll be honest, I never got BBQ. It never really appealed to me. That has changed because of the 180 room. The staff here was very helpful, they were there when you needed them, but not so much that they were in your face all the time. Perfect balance. I had some burnt ends, and they were tasty. I expected to load up on those for the evening, but I decided to try the famous Kansas City rubs I had heard so much about.BAM! I get it now! These ribs put every BBQ rib I have had before now to shame. My tastebuds now understand what ribs should taste like. It was a magical cross between perfection and awesome. I ate until I was ready to split a seam. Absolutely incredible. If you can get yourself here, do it... the food is amazing!

Pair amazing Joes BBQ with private party dining and you have the 180 Room. It's the private party/banquet dining arm of Joes BBQ. The same great food and a private bartender. Our room had 2 large tables (8 tops?) and then a buffet line as well as a private bartender. Food and service was great. Would definitely put this on your list for smaller banquets.

What a wonderful experience for our son's rehearsal dinner! It was absolutely the most positive experience. Erin is so easy to work with. Our service that evening was outstanding, the room was decorated beautifully, and the food was delicious!!!

We reserved the 180 Room for our rehearsal dinner. The first thing that we liked was that it is a private dining facility affiliated with Joe's Kansas City BBQ, so it is a given that the food will be the very best. However, once we saw the space, there were many other things that impressed us: the bar, decorations, bathrooms; everything is very nice and well kept. Also, it is very very reasonably priced, definitely the best deal in town. Since the first meeting with Erin Nelson you could tell how well prepared they are to host any event. They are very flexible and knowledgeable on hosting dinners/events. It truly requires minimum planning on your side because they take care of absolutely everything. We did contact Erin plenty of times with really small questions, and she was always extremely nice and quick to answer. On the day of the event, everything looked amazing. We had 45 guests and reserved the entire space so we had areas for cocktails, dinner and socializing. It was very comfortable and well distributed. The appetizers were delicious and there were plenty of servers to take care of all of our guests with drinks. Since we had a few toasts and speeches, Erin took it on herself to act as the coordinator and made sure to keep us on track, which was above and beyond our expectations. Erin definitely goes the extra mile, she is the best coordinator we dealt with throughout the wedding weekend - she didn't drop the ball on anything. She was talking to some of the guests that approached her and was extremely polite. We heard so many positive comments about her and the service from our guests. Once the event was almost over, they packed all the leftovers and had them ready to go by the exit. I highly recommend this place.

If you're planning any kind of event, make the 180 Room your first choice. We scheduled the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. The food was of course - amazing, and the staff so on point at all times. They provided the tablecloths, decorations, clean up - everything. And they boxed up the leftover food for us to take home. We had my wife's birthday party for 35 people. The service was 5 star and so was the food. More food than you could imagine and typical Joe's KC BBQ, out of this world.We had smoked chicken, ribs, burn't ends and brisket. Cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans and beans and rice, Caesar salad and apple crisp. Erin coordinated our event, Andrea was our captain of service and was awesome along with her staff and bartenders. I will be back when I have another event. Thank you all so much for helping to make my wife's special event so memorable.

This was a fantastic place for hosting an event! rehearsal dinner consisted of a lot of folks from the north east. Not only was the BBQ phenomenal but so was the service. The burnt ends were the best we have ever had. The smoked turkey was so most flavorful. No one left hungry! Working with Erin Nelson was terrific. She took care of all the prework. The staff that waited on us that night was very attentive to all of the guests. It was such a wonderful experience! I would highly recommend this for any gatherings that want a nice, relaxing and easy to plan experience!!

Erin and the whole staff was the best to work with. Everything was setup perfectly. All my guest talked about the whole night was the food and how great the staff was and how nice it was inside there. All my guests are still talking about it even day after and days after wedding and reception was held there. Thank you all so very much!! We will certainly book this venue again and again anytime we get a chance!!

I echo what so many others have said in their reviews. We had our son's rehearsal dinner here last week and we couldn't have asked for anything more perfect. The space has a classy western decor. The room divides into two spaces, but you would never know there is another group on the other side since the dividing wall is beautiful and looks like a regular wall. We had about 40 people and it was just right. From the planning help with Erin to the wait staff who packaged up our left overs, they were well seasoned professionals who guided the event at every step. The food was amazing of course, a good number of choices for the buffet and reasonably priced. We had a slideshow with music that was visible from 3 different screens. Very pretty lanterns and candles were already on the tables so all we added were table numbers and a small vase of flowers. Thank you 180 Room!

I am the president of a local organization for colleges and universities in the greater Kansas City area. We just had our holiday luncheon at the 180 Room. The room was beautiful and everything was set up with the greatest of care. The wait staff was beyond wonderful. They were kind and extremely efficient. The coordinator for the 180 Room was easy to work with and was kind enough to send me reminders when she needed updated information. I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. Oh! And, of course, the food was beyond delicious ~ it is Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que after all!
