Thai Zappz - Overland Park

I was a little disappointed in their pad see ew, but absolutely loved the pad thai and fried rice so I'll be back! The service is fantastic, everyone is friendly and kind. I arrived to order take out just before they closed between lunch & dinner and they were kind and got my food out to me quickly!

Very good Thai food, just wish it wasn't so far out of the way for me. I had the spicy basil stir fry with pork and my wife had chicken pad Thai. Both were as good as any we've had in Kansas City. We also had a crispy spring roll appetizer, hot and tasty as expected. Not very busy on a Friday night which was surprising. Could have just been an off night. Will go back if I'm in the area again.

This is by far the best Thai food in KC! It is family owned, very nice family, their food is fresh, great service, very friendly staff, and the owner knows us, since we eat there quite often. The crab Rangoon is the best, and my husband's FAV is the Kee Mow, medium heat, and I always get the Pad Thai with chicken, mild or under mild heat. They give such big portions, that I can get 4 meals out of my dish. If you have not tried this place, you will not be disappointed! Check their hours, because they close for 2 hours after lunch I believe. I think they start serving again at 4:00. They play nice music that doesn't get on your nerves, and you can carry on a conversation. I wish I would have taken pictures, but I forgot to. You will love their food! Shelley P.

Food: I'm very picky when it comes to my Thai food but I would say this place is pretty good. The Tom Yum was flavorful and had the right amount spice and sourness's. I also enjoyed the pork belly grapow. I also like how you can customize the spice levels here. Service: The service here was quick and attentive. Ambiance: the ambiance is nice and homey.

Went here for a date night with my girlfriend. It's located off 151st and 69 highway which is a very far drive for us but the food was well worth it. Everything we ordered was delicious. All the food came out hot and fresh and the server did a great job of pacing each dish out giving us plenty of time to eat between each dish. We got an appetizer dish with spring rolls, egg rolls and crab rangoons, the basil wings, northern Thai sausage, and the Thai style fried fish. Every dish was perfectly prepared and flavorful. I would come back for the the basil wings alone. They were crispy and juicy and they're prepared naked with no batter which was great. The flounder from the fried fish dish was also great. The fish was soft and flaky and the crispy skin on the outside was very light. We got everything with medium heat and found it to be perfect. Not too hot but hot enough to give your food a kick. Can't wait to visit this place again!!

Looking to try somewhere new during the end of KC Restaurant Week '24 and so glad we came to Thai Zappz! We decided to come for lunch and man was it busy! We had to wait briefly to get a seat, and then food did take awhile to come out after ordering. The staff definitely seemed a little overwhelmed, but were checking in and apologetic. However, they both prefaced before seating us that there would be a wait and we found out after they had a group reservation of 25 that they were serving (hence the wait!). All things considered, they handled it very well! Now the important stuff, the food! We ordered off both the restaurant week menu and the regular menu because there were so many dishes we wanted to try. They have a good variety of classic Thai dishes and street-food inspired dishes. We ended up getting: crab rangoons, crispy garlic shrimp, fried dumplings, Tom Yum soup, and drunken noodles. Everything was so so good. I loved the crispy garlic shrimp - great flavor (though I would have loved more sauce to soak the veggies or rice in!) and a good amount of food. My husband loved the drunken noodles. He devoured them (though I did steal some bites!). All the apps were great too. I also ordered a Thai Punch cocktail! Not totally sure what was in it, but it seemed like a fruity, orange/citrus rum drink. It was fun and tasted great! Overall we would definitely visit again!

This place is really hard to find, but once you're there you won't be madThis place is cute, it has a bright atmosphere and is ready for business. I ordered take out and my first issue was I was on the wrong website, their site doesn't have a dot com there is dot net. I ordered the chicken skewers and they were dry, the peanut sauce was to die for for and was great flavor it had a great spiciness to it and I wanted to add it to the rest of the food. I also got the tiger cry beef...I am not the biggest fan of that I didn't like the vinaigrette/sauce that came with it and would've rather ordered something with a sauce. I also ordered their crab friend rice and it had nice succulent pieces of crab, so I was satisfied with that.The women at the front desk with her little girl was very nice and I will be back to try more of what they have on their menu.

Went here with my love, had a good time here for dinner. For a Saturday night, we thought this place would be busy but it wasn't. It should be though because the food was so tasty and delicious. We got the sampler plate, Basil wings, Thai Basil Wings, and a fried fish dish. Everything came out hot and fresh. In a timely manner. We got so full and it was worth the drive from the Northland.

This is the best fuckin restaurant i've ever went too. Holy shit that curry got me going tho. Then spanish music came on and i started hitting that salsa with curry in my hand . The service was amazing and i figured out that speak vietnamese fluently. (I had no idea what she was saying )
