Terrebonne Po'boys

I am absolutely in love with this charming place. It's strategically located near so many wonderful local shops.Food: very close to authentic Cajun cuisine. Very fresh and served hot on an icy Kansas day.Service: extremely friendly with excellent recommendations for first time visits.

Imma be real honest with you folx, this did not live up to the hype.I selected the grilled shrimp po' boy and a side of the tried and true red beans and rice (Funny G. knows what I'm talking about). People, the sandwich was fine. It didn't knock my sox off let alone my shoes but I was led to believe these po' boys are packing or zomething. I urge you to up your bread game. I ain't got no patience for all these restaurants that give ya the plain white bread and then throw in the metaphorical paper towel. Red B & R played it so straight I thought they were gonna get married at 23 and adopt a golden retriever. Service was pretty freakin friendly and my food was ready with the zuickness but during my deliberation on a side dish the cashier started talking to the other cashier and I was all like dang if I picked a side right now you might not catch it and that would be lost revenue. Can't speak to the ambulance on my visit because it was pretty empty on a Friday night--eek!

I stopped in here on my way to a concert at Liberty Hall. The staff was really kind and helpful and the food was absolutely amazing! If you're in Lawrence Kansas, you need to try this place.

We enjoyed dinner here before heading to the Lied Center for a show. We were visiting from Kansas City. My wife and I ordered the half Muffuletta sandwich. It was lovely. It was a bit thicker and saltier than the original from Central Grocery in New Orleans. It was nice. We also had the Cajun Gumbo. It was pretty tasty. The place is mostly self service. They give you a number for the table. They bring your food to the table, but that's it. You will get your own drinks, silverware and condiments from various stations around the restaurant. The hush puppies were the best either of us have ever had. Wow! We'll be back for a Po Boy.

The food here is FANTASTIC!! Anything we have tried is beyond good, you can't go wrong with any of their deserts either. When you walk in you order at the counter then the servers bring the food to your table, piping hot!! It's a nice little sandwich shop. They serve; Po Boys, Cajun dishes, Southern Deliciousness, Poutine Fries, Gumbo, and Deserts. It's definitely a must try when you're in Lawrence Kansas.

Enjoyed a muffuletta and my son had a blackened chicken sandwich that he declared to be excellent. Two dishes and two drinks was $24. Atmosphere is not great - cramped and loud. Service was outstanding. You order at the counter and then we received our order at our table in less than 10 minutes. Positive experience. Four stars due to atmosphere.

It is a cute little place with a little patio, so your pups can join you if you wish. You order at the counter, receive a number, and then sit down. There is a place to pour your water and sauces galore. I like that you can add alcohol to any drink. I added vodka to the watermelon tea. It was refreshing. We enjoyed the grilled shrimp Po Boy and a large basket of hushpuppies. I got Po Boy sauce to dip the hushpuppies in and highly recommend it.

Most excellent visit this evening. This was my first time going & I was so excited for the hush puppies. They did not disappoint. For sure the best ones I've ever had. I also got the Oklahoma smash burger (part of the Lawrence restaurant week menu). It was great as well! Lots of delicious super well caramelized onions on it & the sauces are delicious. The staff there were very friendly. It's a very unique place when it comes to decor as well. I'll definitely be back. I need to try their desserts. I forgot pics until after I started eating because it looked so good.

Awesome plus. The wasabi devilled eggs devilishly great. Crawfish ettoufe terrific. ( mine was hot enough but would prefer it hotter) Staff friendly. Thank the lord they had a stout and was not Guinness horse piss! Can't wait to come back. Oh. the hush puppies best ever and been to Baton Rouge and Orleans alot. Great job!

Okay, so I thought the jambalaya was amazing, and that nothing could top it... I had a shrimp po boy, and I have wanted one almost every day since. The red beans and rice is also delicious. Add that sausage to it, you'll thank me!
