The food was great, the tacos were very good, same with the steak.The service was Amazing, the food came to us before 20 minutes.It was quiet inside, although there was a lot of people.The only reason why this isn't 5 stars because the tacos were small but I would definitely come back

We stopped in with a group of 12 for Taco Tuesday ($1.49 tacos). I got 2 beef and a chicken, with a side of sour cream, guac, and cheese dip. The beef tacos were my favorite - the beef had a lot of good flavor, but the shredded chicken wasn't bad either. I love the fresh queso blanco they shred and cover the tacos with. We'll definitely be back!

We wandered up to see a sunflower field and since it was supper time we decided to try this place. We got in before the supper rush. The decor is over the top fun colorful Mexican. It's interesting because this is an old Hardee's that had been made over. They've done an excellent job. Who knew it could fit so many tables?? The menu offered a lot of choices. My wife chose a pork burrito and I got a combination house special with chicken, steak, chorizo and shrimp. Everything was so good. The cheese sauce was delicious. The server we had disappeared after we got our food and the bill. She was ok before that. If you're end up here though I recommend trying this one. Looked kid friendly. Serving size was generous and prices reasonable. We had a lovely visit.

I went here around 2 pm on a Friday. It wasn't very busy. The food was good, not great. I'll say 3 to 4 stars. Service was excellent, however: 5 stars. Ambience was 4 stars. Overall: 4! Not bad at all. I may return soon.There is some very nice, very traditionally-Mexican decor in the dining room, like a large very colorful artisan-made glazed tile mural. (I could've tried ordering in Spanish but I didn't feel like showing off that day, lol.)I dropped $20 here for lunch and tip, and felt appreciated by the staff. I had actually started out going to a diner where I had an unpleasant experience and this was where I ended up spending my hard-earned cash for lunch (instead of Depot Tavern, where I'll never return).

I love the vibe and aesthetic. The decor is on point!!! Got a quesadilla and it didn't come with beans and rice side, which made me kind of sad because I love rice and beans LOL. I thought all the quesadillas came with rice. That's unfortunate. That's the only reason for one star down. Otherwise it tasted fantastic. Also the beer comes in this huge huge huge glass LOL.

Come here on Tuesdays. Beef or Chicken Tacos for $.99. Fresh chips and salsa. El Yucateco Chile Habenero sauce both green and red on table. Very good service. Good chips and salsa. I recommend this place due to quality food at a good price.

I eat here 10-12 times per year. Food is consistently tasty and always arrives very quickly. The same people are always working and are very friendly. Staff is very kind to children and give them attention rather than ignoring them. Burrito Chicago is my personal favorite!

I really want a real Mexican food in the 50 mile radius of Excelsior Springs. I just figure nobody around here even knows what real Mexican people eat at home. It's not easy to buy real hot salsas, sauces, and forget about home made anything around here. Always disappointed with the fake food joints.
