Taste of China

I've only been to Taste of China once before and that was Pre-COVID. Even though they are literally right down the street from me I just never went there or forgot they existed. For my birthday dinner we decided on Chinese takeout. I decided to give them a try as I couldn't remember their food and if I liked it or not. Before ordering I went inside at 4pm and grabbed a few menus. I went back at 6:30pm to place the pick up order and there was a lady behind the counter making FRESH crab Rangoon. The restaurant was simple and clean, and a few other people were waiting for their orders. I waited about 20 minutes for a decent sized order for 3 people. The food itself was AMAZING! I ordered rice noodles, crab Rangoon, and steamed dumplings. It was all delicious! AND they got my order correct for the whole party I ordered for. I will for sure be going back to this place! Did not disappoint.

Awful!! New owners didn't keep the recipes of the former owners. Food is disgusting!! Why would they change the recipes? Makes no sense! If the recipes were going to be changed then the restaurant name should have been changed! Don't think any reviews/photos from before Dec2024 are what you are actually going to get from this current Taste of China!

I used to love this place but as of three weeks ago Taste of China in Raymore changed management and with it a new menu. Unfortunately, the change doesn't appear to be for the better. My go to, the Szechuan Chicken/Beef and steamed dumplings are no more. Replaced by something else that ensures I will not be a repeat customer.

We placed our order and while waiting, I used the restroom. The place is falling apart at the seams. We got our food a little over an hour before closing and the food was horrible. We thought we would finally give this place a try but after spending $30 and half of the food going into the trash, we wish we wouldn't have bothered. The veggies and rice were both under cooked. The vegetables were cold. The rice was warm but it was so undercooked and hard that we couldn't eat it. We also ordered extra sweet and sour sauce and I'm so confused on why the extra would be a different color than the one with the order. It came with less chicken than most places which we wouldn't care as much had it been fresh. The crab Rangoon were also so stale. All of the food was basically a waste.

For me, still the best in town. Fresh made to order and serve it up to my spice liking. Local owned and operated here in Raymore. Great people with quality you can taste. Most important this place is super clean has been for many years.

Best Chinese food in Raymore. Add the veggies- they are cooked perfectly and add a fresh taste you cannot resist.

Meh. The dumplings are large but not loving the texture or flavor. The Four Seasons was cooked well-hence 3 stars instead of less. The veg wasn't over cooked and neither was shrimp. Not much flavor at all though. Per the reviews I had much higher expectations.

I've been going here for years and the food and service has always been 15/10. New management please don't fix what isn't broken. Y'all are changing the recipes and the chicken feels more slimy andIs now sitting in pools of sauce, fried rice not as clumpy and containers are flimsy and appear much cheeper. Not that the containers matter that much but the food does. IVE BEEN COMING FOR YEARS. I don't think that will be the case going forward. Sadly I genuinely think I would have enjoyed panda express more. And thats sad because I love this place but at least panda has honey walnut shrimp that I love.

Customer service was good. I got the lunch special shrimp and veggies. You get plenty of veggies and about 4 small shrimp. As for flavor I'd give it a 4 out of 10. Not extremely bad but definitely not worth me visiting again.

My husband and I are each from the coasts and we miss hot fresh Chinese food. This place was amazing! He made it hot and fresh when we ordered it! The crab Rangoon were so crunchy and the food was excellent
