This secluded little taqueria is the epitome of a "hole-in-the-wall". Situated in the back of the building that houses The Bigger jigger on St. John and Belmont. A barren space with a few tables and booths is void of any personality - that includes decor and staff. The 3 people working disappeared into the kitchen the entire time that I was there, other than taking my order and bringing my food. I was the only customer on a mid Saturday afternoon. Although lacking in customer service skills, Taqueria Neza made up for it with flavor. My 3 tacos at $2.50 each were some of the most flavorful meats that I've had recently. Pastor, Asada and Chorizo were heaping on the small double stacked corn tortillas. Fresh off the grill they were warm, seasoned well and succulently delicious. The cup of sauce was pure liquid, but provided a nice tangy kick. I would have no qualms about returning for more or to sample the quesaberria or tortas. Maybe by the second visit, they'll be a bit more welcoming.
