The crew tonight rocked it! Our family taco platter was varied as requested and nicely portioned. The molcajete sauce takes all the accompanying meats & other ingredients to a new level! Their new loyalty program has an added perk of free nachos--sign up! As the crew heard us singing happy birthday, they also joined in with a special surprise-- DJ serenata de cumpleaños & a slice of cake-- what a thoughtful and unexpected treat!

My family and I enjoyed the food here. We shared carne asada and al pastor tacos as well as a quesabirria taco. I had a strawberry margarita which was huge. Great selection of salsas available to self-serve inside. Also, clean and spacious interior. Affordable too.

Went here twice, one for a birthday party and one for taco tuesday night. Food definitely improves the first time we went. Flavors was hitting this time. Tacos on Tuesday were $2 each, can't beat that and there's plenty of spaces inside to dine and also to park as well. I like the tripa, lengua, and carne asada tacos. It's a bit smaller than other places but it was satisfying. There salsa bar was top notch. Cups were decent size to hold our toppings and sauces. Would come here again.

I'm old enough to remember late night dinners at the ole Nichols Diner that lived in this space back in the day.(Kind of.)I don't keep those hours any more, so I can't comment on the late night experience, however I'm happy to say you will absolutely love this place during the day.I've only ordered tacos, so that's what I'll write about.All of the usual suspects are there.I like carnitas, chorizo and asada, but there isn't a wrong answer.The best taco is your favorite taco.

Smh !! It's 10:55pm! And they said no alcohol no sitting either !! Smh I didn't know I we were in the south I will never come here. And they said no tacos de asada for u ! Smh By the way !! This is a taco restaurant

Very friendly staff as we visited for a Saturday lunch recently. We ordered taco plates (most other patrons were ordering Menudo). I had al pastor tacos, mom had birria. I really appreciate the "toppings bar". Some places are so stingy with just asking for an extra piece of lime, etc. Here you could have as much cilantro, onions, limes, etc. as you wanted along with many options of salsa/sauces.I can handle spicy pretty well, Mom cannot. A lot of the sauces and even the pickled onions were fairly spicy. The onions really fooled me because I didn't see the tiny slices of peppery death hiding among the onions. The first bite about took me out. hahaThe meat for my al pastor was over cooked and dried out a bit more than I'd preferred, but it was still good. The rice and beans were great and I even liked their street taco tortillas -- which is unusual for me. I'm not usually a fan of the soft corn tortillas. Mom's birria was good, but a little bland compared to some other places. The consume was definitely meaty-flavored, but maybe needed some onions or something while cooking to give it more depth of flavor. The meat itself was a little too much like pot-roast to me; just seemed to be missing some spices or something. Every place has their own recipe, so it's not that anything was wrong, just didn't have some of the flavors that I've enjoyed at other places around town.I do wish they had fountain drinks. They do have some agua fresca options, but for soda, they only have bottle options, which can be a little limiting to not have "bottomless" drinks while your enjoying your meal.

Authentic. Delicious. Open late. This has to be one of our favorite places in Westport to go get food, especially if it's late at night since they are open far past midnight. The staff working is very friendly and on our second visit, we had European visitors with us, who were unfamiliar with the menu items, so the cashier was kind to explain everything to them. Seating is plentiful and they also have a bar area. Ordering the Birria Pizza is definitely filling for 2, but if you don't eat big portions or are not as hungry, it could be for 3-4 people.

Food was Not what we expected. Service was great but my husband wanted to try different things on the menu. He was very disappointed

We dropped by La Nueva for lunch one afternoon. It is a taqueria, nothing more, nothing less. Pick your meat and take a seat. I had the asada, al pastor, and a birria. They were all very good. The birria consume was fantastic. They had a decent extras bar set up with cilantro, radishes, and salsas. It was a no frills lunch that did the trick.
