I walked in on a Friday during early dinnertime. There was musical bingo for charity going on, which I thought was interesting and pretty cool but also very loud I chose my own seating and was greeted after a few minutes by a server who was actually very kind and nice throughout my visit. He offered exceptional service, which is why I gave the rating I did. The food was much less desirable. I ordered the happy hour potato skins, which were decent, but I ended up burning my mouth from how hot they were when they came out. For my meal, I ordered the World Famous "Chicken Lips" and brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts were chewy and tasteless and the chicken lips were plain with a surprisingly slightly spicy barbecue sauce. The food felt very basic. Besides some walkability and convenience, I would not go out of my way to return.

Great service, delicious chicken lips salad, and lots and lots of televisions to watch football! Loved it

I got a to-go order of the chicken lips charred in teriyaki flavor with gochujang and ranch sauce! The charred selection honestly tasted so much better than the normal fried because it soaks in all of the flavor. They have so many options of sauces so I would definitely recommend trying a variety of them. I'm only giving it four stars due to my wait time for the to-go service. I was waiting at the bar for quite a bit before someone helped me and then that waiter had to ask a bartender which took longer to find. It was noon on a Friday and I was expecting more staff to assist me. Overall, try the chicken lips charred!

Great place to kickoff the first College Gameday! Clean and lively we were satisfied with the food (white queso dip and mozzarella sticks) and local beer. Lots of sports fans around, we enjoyed our visit. Crissi was serving us at the bar and we loved her! Super friendly and great service all around. Glad we came here!

Tanner's is right down from my hotel. I have been there twice. I plan to have dinner there again tonight. The food is better than than average I had a black and bleu "Booga". The patty was okay the bacon was crispy I like more bleu cheese on a black and bleu. the fries were horrid frozen fried potatoes. The service was good. I've read other reviews, stating poor service... ANY restaurant will have slower service when it's busy (do ya think). Overall it was a pleasant experience, the location suits me, and the place was relaxing, with a lot of regulars. Usually the regulars indicate that people like to come back.

The service is spectacular and friendly, the seating and tvs everywhere is a plus with the family and friends . The food was mediocre, bland and not worth the trip. It was our first time out there and wasn't impressed at all. My burnt ends were not burnt ends but chewy fatty pieces of meat, my husbands Reuben sandwich was the same with a lot of chewy fat. My daughter was pleased with her grilled cheese and fries.

You can do a lot of things to attract customers to your sports bar. You can have a nice open floor plan, good adult beverage selection and a good number of tvs that are playing the games people want to see. You can even be located right across the street from a major teaching hospital and advertise yourself as Happy Hour Central. Two important items can make or break you: Quality food and customer service. This Tanner's is lacking both.Tanner's is a local chain and they have almost perfected the sports bar menu. Buffalo chicken lips, boogas, nachos, soft drinks, adult beverages and more. Lately when I've visited, the food hasn't been good. When I first noticed, I thought maybe I came at a bad time and this location was having an off night. It's turned into more than that. The chicken lips haven't been coming out quick and when they have come out they've been cool. The fries used to be nice and chewy, but now come out tough and looking like they've been covered in batter. I'm not sure if Tanner's has changed the recipe, but they're not like they used to be. During my last couple of visits they also tasted like they were from an earlier batch that was left sitting a little bit.Service has turned into a solid miss. It can take 10-15 to be greeted after you sit down and that's just the beginning. Recently I visited and my server walked up to my table, pulled out a pen and a pad, looked at me and then walked off. No greeting. No offer to take my order. Nothing. She came back about 15 minutes later and asked if I was interested in ordering anything. I was, but I was also interested 15 minutes earlier... and then it took about 30 minutes for my food to come out.I want to like this location, but there are other options in the area where I can go and watch my game, so I'm going to take a break. If you decide to visit, please dine at your own risk.

Really cool, open space near West 39th Street. All of the large TVs make it a great place to watch a game. The service is exceptional and they have a large draft selection. Super affordable drink prices - $3.75 Bud Light draws all day every day. Famous for their "chicken lips", the tenders themselves are solid and pretty average but the sauces and charred option are awesome. Had the Caribbean Jerk which had great flavor but is not for the faint of heart. I loved the battered type fries and the seasoning. The onion rings are some of the best in town. Hand-battered, light crispy breading with a country type seasoning. The onion rings stat together and are not too flaky. Perfectly made.

Accidentally placed an order at this Tanners (which obviously isn't their fault), but then I tried calling to then cancel my order, and 24 unanswered calls later I gave up. Waste of money and time. Was never able to get my food or a refund. Wouldn't recommend over this experience alone.
