As far as small art galleries/fun stores go, I really enjoy this one. I've been in several times and the staff has been very friendly and informative each time. They have a nice selection of items and they know the history of each artist that they carry. They seem to always have some textiles, jewelry, purses, artwork and ceramics and I think they have a fair price range for handcrafted items in a high rent district. It's definitely worth checking out!

This store carries some really beautiful art pieces and jewelry. This is the type of place that my wife and I should love, and indeed we have spent several hundred dollars here on two different occasions, including on one of the clocks displayed for view from the front window. We were excited to attend the recent open house of the store's five year anniversary. When we arrived, the owner was finishing up with some other guests. Once they left she just went to stand by the register and did not bother to acknowledge us. (It is a very, very small shop, so the choice not to welcome guests is a conscious one.)The other worker stood in the corner watching us like would-be shoplifters. We had never been treated this way on any of our previous visits, and in fact had always enjoyed interacting with the staff. I will not make any presumptions as to why were treated so coldly on the day of the open house. It is unfortunate, because there are several art pieces we have been keeping our eye on with the intention of eventually purchasing. I am not sure we will be eager to return.

I hate suburbs and strip malls, so it was pure amazing chance that my mom and I discovered this together. Thanks for taking such good care of us, Melanie! I'm sure my mom has become a regular, and I will come back on my next trip to KC.This store is everything I could/would want in a retail store. Everything in it is handmade art, and beyond that, it's actually all GOOD! The curation is incredible, and Melanie really has an eye for talent around the U.S. that she brings here. And better yet, she has a vision and dream beyond just being a retailer selling stuff. In addition to bringing things of beauty here handcrafted by mostly women, she gives back to the community and really thinks about personal economics for everyone. I encourage you to visit her website for more information. They day we came in we showed restraint and left with only two pairs of earrings and one handbag. Everything in here--jewelry, scarves, purses, clocks, small art, and more--is of good quality and interesting. Not everything is for everyone, just like anywhere, but I was shocked and amazed at how much here I truly loved. Even items I didn't love I could appreciate for their artistry. I wish this store/Melanie the utmost success and many happy years, and I look forward to my next visit.

Great items - but not at all welcoming. I've stopped in several times with my daughter on Saturday afternoons and I really like the jewelry. We don't stay long to browse because it feels like we're somehow bothering the person working just by walking in. Wish it was a "warmer" reception because I prefer to support small businesses.

I come here when visiting family in the south Kansas City area - fantastic selection of artists, work and different crafts, and the owner is engaging and very customer-focused. Definitely worth a trip
