The food was well proportioned , filling, yummy, and inexpensive. The service was swift and kind. The store is bright and colorful, super comfy! Love this mom and pop style shop will be going again!

I am nothing if not an avid taco eater! Stopped by Tacos El Sobrino for a quick lunch, and it was fabulous! The service was quick, and the food was super tasty. I thought that the chicken was a little dry, but our waitress gave us so many yummy sauces that complimented the meat well and added some liquid back. Will definitely be back again!

My two pastor (marinated pork) tacos ($1.70 each) were served five minutes after I ordered at the table. The authentic tacos had double moist, tasty tortillas and generous amounts of moist, tasty meat and fresh cilantro. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a generous amount of complimentary toppings including grilled onions, cucumber slices, radish slices, and a chili pepper. The menu featured 11 different meat choices. The dining area was clean and basic with a TV (muted), and no background music, while the service was rather glum, but attentive. Bottled drinks were available (including beer). Pay at the counter when you are ready.Overall, very good authentic Mexican food at a good price, and a good value. Nice!

Slightly more upscale than a hole-in-the-wall, since they have a license to sell beer and waitress service. I see pictures of tables in the middle of the space, but it looks like they have been removed for Covid. Beware of the colorful yellow booths, they were not designed for larger American waistlines, our party of 3 had a tight squeeze. All 3 of us ordered 4 tacos each at $2 a pop. In order of preference - chorizo, pastor, asada, pollo. Plenty of meat on each one and a side plate of grilled onions, sliced cucumbers and a large charred jalapeño made a nice addition. The 3 sauce options - green, red and orange ranged from spicy hot to fire; nothing mild about any of them. My friend that doesn't get out much, gave them a raving 5 stars, my other friend - the foodie in training gives 4.5 star and I award them 4.25 and am rounding down just because like BBQ in this city - there are multitudes of taco options and I've had plenty that eclipse Tacos El Sobrino. I would have no qualms returning, just not in my top tier.

Came here on a whim with a coworker of mine and we both thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It was the day after my birthday so I opted for a Corona with my carne asada and carnitas tacos. The salsa was spicy but delicious. Masks are a requirement but you can take them off when you get to your table. It's a small place but highly recommend. Also, they serve the yummy coke in glass bottles if you're a fan of that. Check it out.

Across the street from Fass Lane Entertainment, $tacks (junk shop, pawn?), the dodgy and ancient Stathas Liquor Store (Ice cold beer sold here!) and uninspiring homemade sign for "Computer Shack," down the street from the graveyard and next door to a money transfer store one one side and a Metro PCS on the other, you're in my kind of territory when hunting for Mexican chow. Oh, and a massive Walgreen's maybe 600 yards away, it's finely lit parking lot and bright neon makes no pretense at fitting into the 'hood, there for the overmedicated masses, its profits streaming out of state to some corporate headquarters. Got mesothelioma? My Nephew's Tacos seems to fall between your easy-to-find street taco and pescado joint. Tons of both in KCK.Decent stream of working types in and out on my stay, but the crowds and lines are elsewhere for this kind of food. No complaints, but I found everything on my visit just OK, not memorable in, say, the way a Bonito Michoacan, Tacos el Tio or San Antonio leaves you.Tripa and Cabeza taco with everything. I was asked how I wanted the tripa and I indicated crispy. It was not really crispy, and like the cabeza, lacking in seasoning, not particularly interesting or tasty. A side of frijoles was equally pedestrian. A ceviche tostada came with a couple of slices of avocado, to my liking, but really hard edge on the citrus. Yes, I know how ceviche is made, but this went beyond. Everything could use a bit of sodium, this from a guy that just complained in a previous review of a chicken place in town that overly killed my bird with the same.I didn't specify, but intended to dine in. I was delivered to go. Hey, I know how to say "aqui" as well as the next guy, even when they don't ask. Still...I think the food here is good, just not great. I like they have a beer license as so many in KCK don't for this kind of food. And the caldos are probably fine. Decent parking lot, totally safe to my feel--others may disagree--and the commentary about the area is just to give you a feel. I tend to enjoy that kind of experience. Thank goodness not everything is Johnson County.

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW AMAZING THIS PLACE IS. I am not joking or exaggerating at all when I say I eat here about 3-4 times per week. It's cheap, it's delicious, they're fast and friendly, but really the food is just incredible. Get the al pastor tacos, I've had them all and they're the best. Also get the caldo de camaron or shrimp soup. 10/10!!!!

No vegetarian option. Out of desperation I ordered their shrimp cocktail. What I received was 17 saltine cracker packets and a soup container full of...cold soup?I didn't even try to eat it. I was HANGRY. I don't like cold soup. I didn't order cold soup. And I have saltine crackers in my cabinet at home so I didn't need 17 little packets of crackers to go with whatever it was they served me. The next day my blood sugar was back up and so I pulled the -maybe soup- out of the fridge and tried it. It was really good. Different than any shrimp cocktail I've ever had before but I'd order it again. Despite all the saltine crackers.
