Not too many branding opportunities yesterday - hit 10 fairways

I really enjoyed this course. Middle of November and it was in great shape. There are a lot of holes that give you a risk - reward option. Bunkers are excellent. Fortunately I only had to hit out of the practice area bunker. If I lived in the area I it would be the place I'd join.

Terrific course. Bent grass green were wonderful. Friendly staff. I would play again. As good a course as I have played in KS.

This course is definitely in my top 3 courses I have played in the KC Metro. Located in Spring Hill, KS, don't let the location or the unassuming club house fool you. Starting off on the front 9, you are presented with beautifully manicured fairways that are soft and wide. The design is fairly wide open and encompasses the rolling hills it's laid out upon. Cleverly placed bunkers are also a plenty. Don't let the wide openness fool you though as it will still challenge golfers of any skill level. Then you step out on the #10 tee box and swear you were just transported to a completely different golf course. Gone is the wide open scenery. It is replaced by broadleaf forest and lots of it. The fairways are insanely narrow, the dog legs are anything but gradual, and features like tiered fairways exist. This is where you put up or shut up on this golf course. Seriously the back nine is a think of beauty and fear at the same time. Very few holes back here allow you to grip and rip, but rather require you to place precise shots (this is why I recently shot my worst round of the year here). The clubhouse help is superb and very willing to help. The price to play here can be more expensive during peak hours than many other courses in the metro, however after 3 in the summer $28 tee times including cart are to be had 7 days a week.If you haven't played Sycamore Ridge Golf Course I can't tell you enough what you are missing. Get out there and play it and I can guarantee it will become one of your favorite courses in the metro to play as it has mine.

Best public course in the state of Kansas. Bent grass fairways and greens with white sand bunkers (currently renovating). Greens are well taken care of and fairly speedy (11-12 on stimp) during the peak golf season. The course is well worth the drive from the city.

One of my favorite courses in town. The front and back feel like two different courses in a good way, ones links and the others resort Style. Worth the extra money every day.

Great golf course, and layout, which I've played many times over the years. Usually in great shape, as they're constantly hosting USGA qualifier events. The two 9'a are very different, which makes it a fun, and diverse, overall experience That said .... It's always packed, play is never fast, and they seem more concerned with how many people they can "squeeze in", instead of the quality of experience each person has. It's no wonder public golf courses are continuing to die out, and only more will follow with the way our economy is going. This morning we showed up an hour before our tee time to check in, hit range balls, and warm up properly ....and were informed of a 1 hour frost delay. (That explained the 40+ people just standing around outside) When I asked how things were tracking, I received some smartalec response of "frost being out of their control" and "patience being appreciated" in order to play today. Well, I guess my thoughts would be CHECK A FORECAST and don't open the tee sheet to early times on spring season days.... Like every other club who actually KNOWS what they're doing. Regardless, I won't be back. There's enough other quality options in the KC metro that don't involve driving to the middle of no where, and then paying a premium price to be herded like cattle and play 6 hour rounds because of the lack of common sense and pour management style......

terrible experience. slowest play I've experienced in years. zero Marshall's to keep pace of play. when we called the clubhouse to report waiting on ever tee box for 10 plus minutes, we were told that the pace was fine. round took 5 hours and on the 18th green, the three groups had gathered and we're drinking and partying as we putt. no one told them to move to the clubhouse. will not return.
