Good sushi for a good price! This is a favorite place for us when we are in KC and the sushi has always been consistently good for us. It's not fancy and we like the casual vibe of the place. We like the heart attack roll and the pyramid roll. We also will usually get the tuna and salmon sashimi and it's always good. The service here is ok, it's a pretty casual spot so nothing out of the ordinary.Mixed alcoholic drinks are just ok, but if you're getting sushi just get a beer or sake and it's all good.If you're in southern KC you should try it out for good sushi and sashimi.

This was my second visit, and I noticed some changes in the ambiance since my last trip in 2018. The Japanese floor tables (chabudai) have been replaced by traditional tables. The staff was friendly, and our group of five received our orders in just 5-10 minutes. I tried the Chicken Teriyaki and KC Strip steak combo lunch plate, which came with clear soup and salad first, followed by the combo. The plate was a perfect balance of greens, rice, and protein, and I loved it. My friends enjoyed their sushi and rolls as well. We visited quite late for lunch, so the place wasn't busy at all.

I loved almost all I ate. The Miso soup was ok but not the best. The shrimp tempura was excellent as was the squid salad and the sashimi sampler platter. My new favorite sushi joint in the KC Area!

We have been here a few times whenever we are shopping in the area. So far everything we have tried has been good. Not good enough that we would venture out this way just to eat here but definitely good enough if we are in the area. Service was fast and friendly. We were in and out of there in less than an hour so they are all definitely efficient there!

The chirashi is decent! I think adding ikura would add to its wow factor. We ordered delivery tonight. I asked for no plastic utensils and they listened

Service and ambiance was great. Sushi was also tasty. However, I would probably order something different if I came again. Peanuts and sushi are an interesting combination. All in all, I enjoyed eating here.

Weird sewer-like smell when you walk in. I got used to it while waiting for the order.

Has my sushi craving been satisfied? Yes. Have my foodie expectations been met? Maybe not so much. First things first, the interior was top-notch (10/10).Definitely a sweet place for a first date or a special ocassion. They even have two beautifully decorated event spaces that give a bit more privacy. The service was ... satisfactory (7/10).We just had so much trouble catching our server's attention (or any server's attention for that matter). For being a pretty slow Thursday night (maybe there were 4 other tables being waited on), both servers were hardly on the floor. Whatever they were doing out back by the kitchen must have been of quite the importance. However, whenever we DID catch a glimpse of them, they were quite sweet and eager to help. Now for the most important part...THE FOOD (6/10). I had been craving sushi for nearly 2 months before we finally decided to go out for some. Being from SoCal, we know how to do our sushi GOOD (think quality AYCE sushi options with lots of good competition). That being said, gearing up the courage to try a new sushi place in the midwest has been sort of a daunting task. Perhaps my expectations were a tad bit HIGH? We ordered the crunch roll, the las vegas roll, the dynamite roll, and the love roll. As much as I was dying to order the raw fish sushi, I had to hold back (as I'm now 8months preggos). The rolls tasted decent, but the portion size is what really threw us off. Each order of rolls came with maybe 5-8 pieces of sushi, but they were TINY. They all came with the bare minimum. All the ingredients were there but literally the smallest amount you could think of putting on a roll. They all came with such a thin, thin layer of rice that you almost couldn't taste the rice! Also, be warned, the dynamite roll is not anything like a dynamite roll you might order from another sushi restaurant. They put a crunch on the outside, hardly any sauce, and...crushed peanuts on the outside. A VERY interesting combination. For having dropped nearly $50, we left hungry but just couldn't justify dropping another $10 for another roll.

Best crab Rangoon around and sushi is tasty. Everyone is always nice when you come in even if it's carry out.

From beginning to end, our trip was fantastic. The restaurant's decor was cozy and welcoming. The personnel was attentive, kind, and helpful. There was something for everyone on the extensive menu. We sampled a range of sushi rolls, all of which were inventive, tasty, and fresh.
