I just finished my 2-week New Student Special. For $25, it's hard to beat the value for as many classes as you can fit into two weeks! The studio is cozy, but you still have enough space to spread out during class without feeling like you're crammed on top of others. Annie is kind and pleasant and down-to-earth, a great teacher for those who are brand new to yoga.I attended a very strange class called Accu-pressure Balls that didn't do anything for me, but the 5:30 AM Vinyasa taught by Jeleanna and 4:30 pm Intro to Ashtanga taught by Annie were wonderful classes. All in all, my experience was fine, but I didn't fall in love with the place due to the lack of rigor and the lack of variety in the classes. However, if you are new to yoga, or looking for low-energy classes, this would be a good place to practice.

Annie the owner is a great instructor and super down to earth. The beginners series has been a great way for me to get into yoga and not feel intimidated about all the different poses, etc. I'd highly recommend it for anyone looking to try yoga or for people that have only ever done videos - great way to really understand what to do!

I recently tried Surya while in town visiting my family and loved everything about my experience. Annie, the owner and instructor of the classes I took, was warm and welcoming. Her teaching style was great for all levels. She was attentive to both the beginner and more advanced yogis, and she had a very playful energy that really engaged everyone in the class. The mixed level flow class started with a brief meditation, followed by a traditional vinyasa flow series, with some more advanced poses thrown into the mix. Unlike the other studios I have tried in the area in the past, Annie encouraged everyone to really step out of their comfort zone and be more adventurous in their practice. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town!

Went to the mixed level flow class. Room was warmer than I'm used to but you get used to it a few minutes in and it makes the muscles more limber. (set at 80 degrees) I'm sore from the class yesterday and I appreciated that it was a good workout. Will definitely be back!

Surya Yoga is not a "cookie cutter" studio. The classes offered embrace a variety of styles to suit the requests of the clients. Whatever your need or whatever you want from your practice it will be addressed. Staff is well educated & trained. It is a pleasure to practice at this unique studio.

I can't say enough about this studio! It has become one of my favorite places to be. The teachers are excellent, the amount of classes and times offered make it really easy to fit into any schedule. When I started I had no experience, everyone has been so welcoming and helpful, it really is a great studio!

You will enjoy the classes whether you are a beginner or an advanced yogi. Annie does a great job of instructing so that beginners understand what to do and she offers suggestions so that you can try varying degrees of difficulty for each pose. The community there is amazing. People are friendly, welcoming, and encouraging when you've made progress in your practice. I've tried other yoga places and I keep coming back to Surya even though it's miles from my house.
