On about 6/29/24 had a service call scheduled for an ac not cooling. The tech (Lane) removed our WiFi thermostat and replaced with a basic T6 non-WiFi thermostat that I found on Amazon for around $80. They charged us $399 for the downgraded thermostat plus $125 service fee. If that's not bad enough, this was not even what was wrong with the cooling system.I called another company who found that the unit was frozen after a simple visual inspection and fixed it.I've called multiple times to try to get some sort of compensation for an incorrect diagnosis or a refund and get my old WiFi thermostat back. Justin always answers my calls and is trying to get me some resolution but his superiors don't seem to have time for me.I manage over a hundred rental units and currently have this company blacklisted due to the poor treatment. If I receive any kind of resolution I am happy to update my review.

We've used Summit Heating and Cooling for the past four years for maintenance, a rebuild and bi-annual checkups of our HVAC system. We inherited a "lemon" of a system when we purchased a new home and Summit kept us going until this summer. We just replaced our system and the installation crew-Michael H., Freeze and Camron worked tirelessly on a really hot summer day. Great customer service after the sale and installation too. I highly recommend Summit Heating and Cooling.

We called Summit to come look at improving the HVAC in our old house. The sales guy came out, poked around pretty extensively, and quoted us a price a few days later. We had some questions and he answered them reasonably soon after. The team came out a week or so later to install three indoor mini-split units run off of two outdoor units, and to fix some ductwork. It took a day longer than they'd anticipated - that's ok, a day isn't too bad in the grand scheme of things. The systems seem to work well, and the third floor ductwork seems more able to cope with the house. I have one gripe: the coring company they used to drill through the exterior walls made a huge mess. Dust everywhere. The dust was so thick at one point that the smoke alarms went off. Nobody involved in the coring or installation thought to put down drop cloths or clean up afterward. We had dust in every room where installation occurred and tracked by workers in the common spaces. We ended up renting a hotel since there were two additional days of installation and cleaning up every night wasn't practical. We also ended up hiring cleaners. I emailed our sales rep and told him all this, but we were (are still, actually) pretty peeved at how dirty the house was.

My furnace stopped working right at the start of a cold blast where temps fell into the negatives. The company sent someone out to diagnose the problem within a couple of hours of my call. They gave me the bad news that it needed to be replaced with a full explanation of why. Victor got me set up with next day installation that same night. They squeezed me in on a Friday evening to make sure I had heat through the bitterly cold weekend! Nate and Casey stayed until 10pm on a Friday! Amazing customer service, can't thank these guys enough. I've used them for years and they're reliable, affordable, and genuinely care about their work and their customers. Have always had great experiences with this company. I recommend them to everyone I know!

UPDATE: I called the owner, Brendan, to request a refund of my Spring tune-up (which the AC never worked). Brenden issued a check to refund my $318 tune-up charge. I cashed the check at my bank and then 3-4 days later saw a "stop payment" charge on my bank account. I called my bank and determined that Brendan had stopped payment on the check. I called Brendan and he, of course, has not returned my call. I honestly can't believe how unprofessional and cowardly Brendan has acted. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SUMMIT!!

I called Summit when my A/C shot craps. Brendan the owner came out and gave me the estimate for two new units. I was going to replace the furnaces at the same time just to be done with it as they were aging as well. He did an inspection and said they were in "pretty decent shape" and would recommend waiting and see how much time I can get out of them. That impressed me that he didn't go straight for the sale but gave me sound advice and saved me some money for the time being. Will definitely use them when my furnaces go out. He also made me aware of a $995.00 KCPL rebate. He did all the pre-work to ensure I qualified and handled the paper work, 30 days later I got my check. I was a former Anthony customer but not anymore. Summit did me right by excellent service, pricing, communication and competent installers (Bryan and Phil). Will use them in the future.
