My four kids attended this school. The academics are superior and the cost is fair. We are Christians so this was a good fit. My family volunteered, took on odd jobs and were most grateful for this place in the four fab Fowler kids' upbringing. Once they went to public schools, the memorization, phonics based reading education and clear tried and true lessons in math history drama and science taught by passionate instructors was instrumental in their superb public school habits and grades. Love SCA which was 'Lees Summit Community Christian School' back then!

I want to share our excellent experience with Summit Christian Academy and now many years here. We began in 2016 when our first child was entering preschool just part-time and had the most welcoming wonderful experience. It was such a great experience that the next year we moved her into five days. The next year pre-K, kindergarten and then added child number two and eventually child number three. We have got to experience many different styles of teaching, grades, and also how it's different between girls and boys but one clear message is the same: that you are loved and that God loves you.The Education is excellent. It's also really fun to see organized sports, arts and extra curricular activities beginning within the school at the early ages too! We have loved it, and if you quickly do the math for three children, you can easily see that it is beyond worth it to us!!!

We have two daughters that go to school here actively. The preschool program has been awesome for my youngest. Everyday she comes home with a smile on her face. My oldest did pre-k and is now in kindergarten. She has had the best experience and made some great friendships.

Love the school. Great teachers! Good student ratio. It is so encouraging to know that our Christian faith is being reinforced at school. Also, my daughter has started reading while in Pre-K there. They have many great programs to encourage reading. My first grader does not like getting picked up early from school because he likes his school and friends there so much.

Best school in the area. My kids are in elementary and high school. I'm happy with the education and the safe environment. SCA feels like family. Kids are learning how to be productive citizens who aspire to do great things. It is such a blessing to be able to have our kids attend this school.

We moved over from Less summit school systems. We had a terrible experience at North and our elementary age son could not get services for dyslexia at Mason even though he was diagnosed through Children's Mercy. We should have moved sooner. Our kids feedback: The teachers actually look you in the eyes and instead of being made fun of for not knowing something, their classmates cheered when they attempted it! We were able to get services for our son and he's now caught up with his class!!! The kids have great friends. So thankful for this school!

We've been at SCA for a decade and, while no school is perfect, we appreciate the smaller size and the caring teachers/coaches. There are less distractions to learning than what our kids had in public school and our kids have developed good friendships. We like being able to get to know the families of their friends in the smaller environment.

BUYER BEWARE!! That means be prepared to buy your child's way into favoritism with his/her peers, teachers, administration, etc. We wanted to send our kids here because we wanted them to have a faith based education which we thought would include teaching compassion, empathy, and love and respect for others. However, we were sadly mistaken. Our kids were bullied not only by their peers, but by some of coaches and administration as well. We have been appalled at the way a blind eye was extended to mean individuals just because they contribute financially above the cost of tuition. The kids are even more entitled at this school than they are in public schools (yes, we've attended public schools too). Many of the kids here have parents who believe their kids are perfect and will not hold them accountable for their actions towards others. We pulled our kids because we couldn't justify paying so much for all of the problems this school caused in the mental health of our kids.

Excellent and remarkable teachers for the day care, Pre K and summer camps for my younger sibling. Absolutely a relational investment to create a constructive environment for each student while maintaining a big standard of values. Only issue is with the board or whomever makes decisions about scholarships. My single income parent had to find another option when my brother was refused financial assistance prior to starting kindergarten. A confusing message from a Christian institution.
