Sullivan Nature Sanctuary

On either side of the peacefully flowing Rush Creek is the North and South Twin Trails, named after twin daughters of Edgar and Ruth Sullivan. Finding these walking paths, down S Main Street, was a stroke of luck after biking the 10k route between English Landing and Platte Landing parks. It offered a way to stretch the legs among tall trees that shielded us from the hum of activities on the outside. The wood chips made for a soft trek, and viewpoints of the creek made for a calming experience.Granted it was a short walk, and while I desired a longer distance, being a part of preserved nature can never be overvalued. These trails add to the charm of Parkville!
