Strawberry Hill Brewing

I Ubered here on Saturday night for my first stop in a bit of pub crawling in Strawberry Hill.Strawberry Hill Brewing has been open for about 6 months and is the only brewery in KCK. They have six beers on the current menu and sampled all six with their 4oz at $2.50 a pour. My favorites were the "Long Road Ahead"-American Oatmeal Stout and the "Carry Me Porter", although had no qualms about any of the other four. Sixteen oz pints are $7.50.The small space in an old high ceiling brick building just west of SLAP's BBQ and are only open on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays. The brew lab is visible in a cramped space in the back corner. My favorite part of my stay was conversing with one of the co-owners Phillip. Very friendly and knowledgeable about beer and all things KCK related. The place has a very neighborhood feel and I look forward to returning soon. Ask for your free sticker!

So I was staying in Kansas City, Missouri for work conference but wanted an excuse to hit two states with one trip...I googled breweries and this was the ONLY one that popped up. I'm so glad I ended up here! When I say you'll be treated like family, I mean it! I got to meet three generations of brewers and patronize a very new brewery with strong ties to the area and solid core beers. I met the father of one of the brewers, a founder (Phillip), and his wife plus three awesome kids. It was absolutely the pick me up I needed after three weeks of work travel and the stress of a hurricane bearing down on my home...I needed family and felt like it here. I hope they get super famous and popular so I can say, "I went there way back when!"My favorite was the WyPA, but the Brambers was an easy drinker with a great nuanced flavor. They are sandwiched between a bbq spot that made my mouth water and a Mexican place that came highly recommended. Games are available to play and they have activities and snack packs available for kiddos. Wishing them all the best; certainly the highlight of my trip

This was a good first experience and I hope more selection will follow. The space was clean, open, and the bartender was friendly. The two beers we tried were pretty good. I think this place has promise.

Great beers. Loved the atmosphere. Beertender was really knowledgeable. Would definitely go back.
