Beautiful course, challenging but not too much so. Be sure to be there when Haley is working the concessions and Beth is on the Cart, your experience will be 1000% better not matter how you're playing that day. couldn't recommend the customer service more.

Great course and they always have it in great condition no matter the time of year. They have the nice carts with Bluetooth and range finder even the lady who usually works behind the bar is very friendly and welcoming. One of my favorites in kc and surrounding areas

Long drive for me but met some colleagues for a quick round. Course was in great shape for the crappy weather we've had this year. If I lived closer, I'd golf here more often.

Top 5 public golf courses in Kansas City, I really love to play this place, it is always in great shape, it plays fairly fast most of the time, the staff is super friendly and the rates are not crazy on TeeQuest you can really get some great deals here. Especially in the fall when the leaves start to change. A lot of other public courses could do themselves a favor by doing what these guys do at Stone Canyon.

Stone Canyon Golf Club is a diamond in the rough. Located on the Independence/Blue Springs border, it is certainly full of some surprises for the area it's located in. Designed as a landfill reclamation project, you will find some great topographical features that you simply won't find on too many other courses on the metro. Things like major elevation changes, natural stone walls, and canyons exist throughout the course. The fairways are fairly wide, rolling, and are kept in amazing shape. Even though the course has sparse bunkers and zero water hazards, don't let this fool you in to thinking it's easy, because it isn't. The course is still very challenging due to course topography. Finally it's the only course in the metro that I know openly does dynamic tee time pricing (normally you have to go through a 3rd party to get this). Stone Canyon GC is continually adjusting it's own tee times based on weather, demand, etc. This allows for some really great deals to be found out here. I recently played for $25 including cart.My only disappointments were that the upper tee boxes were closed and the club house is pretty no frills (its a double-wide trailer). I would also think this course could be improved with more bunkers and a couple water hazards on the course.

Pleasantly surprised with the value of this course. Two holes (15 & 16) in the valley need some work on drainage... Fairways in poor shape. Good layout overall...

Great course, terrible staff (mainly the front desk gnome). We booked a tee time for 4 people online for $56 per player. When we got to the course he said it was $73 per player because the "winter rates" went away on March 18th. We asked him what the point is for booking online and securing rates through the system. He said that the system has nothing to do with them and it is not their problem. Horrible customer service and will not be returning. Not to mention......it was 34 degrees when we teed off! I guess since golf is hot right now you are allowed to treat customers any way you want to......unfortunate for sure.

Absolutely terrible staff. Will not be coming back ever again & will be taking my business elsewhere. Employee wouldn't allow us 50 yards out of his vision to enjoy a casual game of golf.

Great golf course. No ho-hum holes, very consistent greens, generous landing areas. Very reasonably priced. I could play here regularly and be totally content. Good practice facility. I will be back on my next visit!
