Star Pavilion

This is my first time here, I see ad for groups here but never been here before, I came and listen to mountain daredevil outside and was checking out this place, if you go to gift shop and buy tickets and show your card you get $5 off $40 ticket, Grand Funk Railroad was awesome and my seat was good, when you go to the gift shop you get to pick your seat,I pick seat 1 but seat one is in the corner, seat 6 and 7 is on the aisle seat, I didn't know but it's life, they good concert and will be coming here more , talk to several people and they didn't realize that to save go to the gift shop,the band started late because people decided to come at the last min and the band stopped at 10 pm, I don't know ‍ if they had to or this place said play until 10, the crowd really got into the group

Star Pavilion is the theater/event space in Ameristar. I'm really glad that it's right inside the entry to the casino, 'cuz Ameristar is one of the smokiest places I have ever been. We ventured to Ameristar to catch a Quixotic production that was in the Star Pavilion and Quixotic's performance was amazing as always. But this space leaves a lot to be desired. Our seats were good, and it's small enough that there likely aren't any bad seats in the house in terms of viewing angles, but the seats were cheap crappy chairs set up on temporary risers. They were packed in tightly and had been labeled with seat numbers hand-written on tape. Classy! The seats were really uncomfortable which distracts you a bit from the performance because you find yourself rearranging yourself continuously to gain a decent level of comfort. I would be willing to return here, but only if it was for something I desperately wanted to see.

By far the most uncomfortable venue in KCMO. Even for a regular size person the seats are truly on top of each other. Also, do not go in the summer because there is hardly any air conditioning. I couldn't believe it. It was so hot. I will not go back. So disappointing and unacceptable.
