Attended a charity golf outing last Friday at this course. I'm from out of town and had locked my keys in the trunk of my car. The staff was very understanding and was helpful. Yes the course was great and I've played private courses that weren't as good as this one. However, in the end it is the good folks here that made the experience enjoyable.

Great place! Price is reasonable, range is nice, and the staff members were very kind, friendly, and welcoming! I have yet to try to hit the field but will be likely to go back to try it out!

I love golfing here. You get public course prices with an almost private course feel. The design offers good challenges, but is still playable for high handicappers.Great practice areas and driving range. Finally, the staff is top notch. They are led by Tony and you won't find a better ambassador for the game of golf than him.

This golf course is simply amazing! One of the absolute best public courses in Southern Johnson County. They have just spent a wad of cash on renovations and it has gone over well. This is a medium size 18-hole course that features 6,414 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70 . The course rating is 70.3 and it has a slope rating of 119 on Zoysia grass. They have an excellent drainage system which allows you to ride on the fairways even after it has rained. They also have a night range which has multi targets and is open until 10pm. The only other golf course that I know of that does that is Smiley's and they are open until 10pm.You are surrounded by beautiful scenery. The holes are challenging and really make you play hard. The markers for yardage are a little hard to find, but once you understand the system, it makes for a pretty fast game. You will also find some of the nicest people on this course. Many times, there are angry hackers out running around, but most people know how to play on this course. You are surrounded by some pretty expensive homes and a nature trail that goes around the front nine. Towards the back nine you can here all of the kids that are playing soccer at the new complex screaming and having a good time and it doesn't really affect the way that you play. I know some people have a hard time when there is a noise in the background, but I guess it just blends in with the course. I don't even really hear it. You would think that a course like this would be expensive, but it is actually very reasonable. Peak hour green fees are $27 and cart is $15, so if you ride you are looking at $42 during the week. I recommend walking this course as it is not hard to walk at all. This course does get packed on the weekend, so your best bet is an evening. After 5pm they have super twilight which is only $24 to ride.

Simply put just a goat farm, greens suck and have 4 billion ballmarks on them. Fairways are bad and course just isn't in good condition.

Outstanding for a public course. Challenging and aesthetically pleasing. If I can nitpick, my only complaint is that there is rarely a beverage cart girl on duty until after school is out for summer.

Very well managed golf course. Greens and tee boxes well manicured. Quality driving range with artificial mats and for convenience open late. Friendly staff in pro-shop. I would highly recommend this course for any type of golfer.

Nice course. Have played here for years. Was going off hole one with my son for 9 holes tonight with a 6:54 tee time. He is in town for the weekend and I have not seen him in years and this was the only tee time we could find. The starter at 1 told us we may not get many holes in and pointed to an almost unnoticeable storm in the distance. The radar showed nothing within 40 miles(see photo) at the time and he said the policy was lightning within 6 miles. The nearest red on the radar was in Tongonoxie and as soon as we stepped up to the tee box, the horn blew. The storm was moving north east and light green would have been all that hit, if anything, with heavy stuff more than 10 miles away. Well here we are, at 8:30pm and the storm has completely broke apart. Not a single drop of rain has touched touched the course and there has been no lightning. So thank you, starters, for needing to get home early to watch the Stanley cup finals and robbing me of 9 holes with my son who I rarely get to see. I know they are volunteers but my lord could you at least give the guys some training. Will not be going back. But hey, at least I got a refund! I wonder if the rain check will still be valid in 2025 when my son comes back to visit
