Smokehouse Barbecue-Gladstone Mo

Smokehouse is a favorite of mine, and I don't see it recommended enough! I've been to Zona Rosa and this location, and had amazing service and food each time. I love that it's a sit down, order from your server, real napkins for the silverware, friendly place. Destiny was our server, and she was fantastic. The Jr Smokehouse with brisket is my go to (sesame seed bun with brisket, their amazing beans, plus fries). Food was amazing as always, I forgot to order a house salad to go for lunch tomorrow, and I'm sad, lol! They really do have a great house salad (it has peas!).

Enjoy their food. They have really good beans!! Service takes awhile. Atmosphere is nice.

When in KC it's important to try some barbecue. This place reminds me of the 90s a little dark a little dingy and waitresses that have been here for many many years. This is all a good thing. They have the best beans around their sides are delicious and their meats are smoky and good. Everything is large portions and you will need a to go box. Friendly service great barbecue sauces, and the ribs were delicious.

A KC staple that can be hit or miss. My visit was unfortunately a miss. Standard bbq ambience and decor. Food was fresh but forgettable, service was friendly. Joes and Q39 is what I would recommend if you are looking for good BBQ. If those are too far - SH may work.

A group of us attending a conference at the Crown Center were able to score a reservation for a Saturday evening. (Actually, 20 minutes north of our hotel, the restaurant wasn't that full.) The customizable house salad was appreciated. Three of us got the popular white macaroni and cheese with burnt ends appetizer as our entree, since we were all leaving town the next day and didn't want to have leftovers. The mac n cheese was delicious, but the burnt ends were dry, like they had been cooked and then left on the hot pan on the counter. That ruined the effect. The fourth person had a salmon dinner and quite liked it. I had seen the smoke n Mary cocktail mentioned in another review and ordered it out of curiosity, but I didn't really like it, personally. Although our very friendly server came by with a delectable-looking tray of desserts, none of us had any room left. Free flat parking lot and gender-segregated restrooms.

Smokehouse is criminally underrated. It isn't flashy, pretentious, or trendy. It is, however, a good family BBQ restaurant that I would rate as 4-5 stars on any given day. On my last visit, I ordered my typical Ring of Fire sandwich with brisket, even though you can get two meats. I'm sure it's great with any meat combo but I love their brisket so I always get that. It's the perfect sandwich for people who love a bit of heat and the flavor is outstanding. Smokehouse ribs are also a winner and are frequently on my plate. Do not skip the beans. For my money, they are the best in town. Their sauces are also great, especially the spicy. I dip my fries in it for the perfect french fry experience. The service was very good.Don't overlook Smokehouse. It may not make it on anybody's best BBQ lists but it's good, it's been here a long time and it's most definitely worthy of your patronage.

Looks small and tucked away from the outside, but worth making a stop! We came here with a group of us so we made reservations ahead of time. We were glad we did because it was fairly busy since it was a Saturday night. My friend and I shared the brisket and the burnt ends mac n cheese. The burnt ends Mac n cheese was EVERYTHING. Definitely recommend this. Our server was also super sweet and very on top of it. All of our food came our great and everyone was happy!

Had lunch yesterday their BBQ is the best. I had the Gladstoner bisket and turkey Our waitress was excellent. You can never go wrong when you choose Smokehouse! This was at the Gladstone location.

If I could give a zero star I would. I came in to the restaurant earlier and I am a very easy going, open-minded eater. I ask what the waitress recommended as I have never eaten there before and she said burnt ends and I love burnt ends so I ordered that. Around 5 minutes go by and the food has already arrived at the table which was great to see, for a moment. I have just moved here around 3 months ago and have been to 15 barbeque locations and this was by far the worst. Fries were average and so was the mac and cheese. Had to spit out one of the burnt ends I attempted to eat due to it being so chalky. Do Not Come Here!

I've been frequenting Smokehouse for decades. Order often, dine in & carry out. Recently I experienced a rude hostess who wouldn't look up from writing on a tablet. She kept asking me what I needed help with & I told her a to go order. She was curt & acted as if she was doing a favor to be waited on. Also barked orders at others. It was quite busy & unorganized. I can go to another smokehouse location. I no longer feel like a valued customer. No thank you, nothing. Burnt ends didn't seem like their traditional Al burnt end, more like chewy roast.
