Great people doing great work. If you ever need to get set up for skiing then you should check this shop out.The shop is very fun, lively and they know what they are doing.We got 3 sets of ski's and boots, My wife got a jacket and pants as well... Long story short we couldn't be happier. I had a problem with my boots so we went back, they figured out what the problem was and took care of it no problem. I ended up going back a week or so later to get a helmet and the guy remembered me and asked how the boots fit!I always have a great time dealing with this shop.

I bought boots here 15-20 years ago and they were amazing boots, but everything has a life span and theirs was up. Even though it was late season coupled with the fact that I've got wide/long feet, I was able to walk in and pick up a pair of boots that fit about 90% of the way. Over the next few days, they added an insole since I've got higher than average arches and "punched" out the sides (one boot twice) so that the fit is 100%. Everyone was friendly and fellow avid skiers or snowboarders. They also had an awesome shop dog. I received the best service possible. Thanks!

I go wowzie for what Sitzmark sells. 3 weeks before discovering Sitzmark, I tried on over 50 pairs of snowboard pants, throughout stores in Independence Center. I finally opted for a pair of ugly men's pants that scream, "noob" at Snow Creek. The reason why they scream "noob' is cause they are clumsy, ugly, and difficult. In a rush, I bought them at a store that sells skateboards and snowboards in Independence Center. I desperately needed them.I finally made it out to Sitzmark, where I knew (after the fact), that they had tons of pants. Not a cheap task, but I also knew my prices. Found: a pair of PETITES ladies stretch pants, with the included base layer, with a zipper, and a water proof outter layer, pocket free so no ugly waist bulge. Every thing I wanted in a pair of snow pants, but couldn't find. I had seen these pants on women when I visited Snow Creek. Having to dress up in dress pants when I don't work from home, I've found pants without pockets look alot better. I'm used to not having pockets by now. No pockets on the snow is no big deal, cause your jacket has 2 billion pockets. So I bought my perfect pants, and looked at a few jackets. Oh, I'll have to slowly build my winter sports outfit, cause I don't really need a jacket. But, I tried on a few, and I love them. Sitzmark has every jacket you see online. All in pretty colors and styles. And they have hats, and all the gloves you need. They have goggles, snowboards, and even snowboard bags/backpack/pants and coats that match. That is bad ass. It'll set you back price wise, but it's good quality, and not the crap I saw at certain sporting goods stores. Their boots and bindings are worth taking a look at, and the employees know their stuff. I salivated over a pair of silver and pink metallic snowboard boots...They carry the top name brand snowboards, and accessories, too. The men's section is equal to the women's section, and there's also a complete section of children's winter clothing. Also, they have water sports accessories and equipment needed, and snow skis. They do snowboard repair quickly. And, they have a lift ticket counter, that's huge. My son has a friend who had his snowboard resurfaced for only $20. I love this store. Glad we have it.

Superior experience. Matt P and the rest of the team at Sitzmark are the most knowledgable ski store we have been to. We purchased intermediate level ski boots with custom fitting. We were not only impressed by the customer service, but amazed by their ability to make and shape inserts on location.

Jamie hooked me up with a whole new setup two weeks back. Wanted to wait to use my new boots, boards, and bindings and then write the review. He completely changed my snowboarding experience for the better and got me a great price on top of that. Would recommend to anyone looking

I don't come here often enough but love it. Everything you need for water or snow skiing.

One decent ski tech in house- If you do not get him count on your skis being unsafe and/or having your warranty voided by anyone mounting your skis here. Sitzmark MIGHT be okay with snowboards but clearly management knows nothing about skis/ skiing. I talked to a sales rep from a brand Sitzmark sells and was told that Sitzmark owed me a new pair of skis because factory warranty did not cover my skis being drilled improperly with the wrong drill bit (confirmed by rep.) Sitzmark did nothing to remedy me. You are better off trying to mount your skis at home and ruining them yourself. I am glad that the inexperienced Sitzmark's techs' work didn't lead to serious injury in my case. There is a good chance it will soon enough for you or your child who has gear set up at this shop is brave enough to click in on any of Sitzmark's careless work before pointing down. This shop provides by far the worst work I have ever seen in many years of skiing. Don't be the one to pay the price due to it's negligence-Avoid at all costs!

If you're looking to buy ski or snowboard gear and you live in the KC area this is the place to do it! I got my first set of boots and skis from here, and I was extremely impressed with the knowledge of the staff, their helpfulness without being pushy and the value! Their prices for gear are right in line with what you would see at anyplace on a mountain or online (their required to be by the suppliers), but you get so much more by working with them! They included binding installation at no cost, and insured me they'd correct anything if I had issues, but I had none!!! I love my boots and skis, took my skills to the next level, it's like they were made specifically for me and

Sitzmark has a good selection of gear. One of the only places in KC unfortunately. I have visited the store 3 times. Every-time I have come in I have to deal with Dennis. Dennis is condescending and pushy. Told my brother that he was "being grumpy" and "needed to chill" after my brothers said he was just looking at snow pants. I was there another time and we were talking about bindings. As I was comparing one binding to the other I said "I like these because they are cheaper" Dennis corrected me and said in a smart ass way "they aren't cheaper just less expensive". On top of that I bought the bindings and was overcharged $50. I called the shop after buying them and they told me that the money should be back in my account the next business day. It took 2.5 weeks before the money processed into my account. To reiterate they do have a great selection of gear. Maybe I am just unlucky.

Helped us get ready to ski in a hurry. Very helpful staff. Great products. Glad to have a local shop.
