Sister Anne's was a unique experience. It is located in a building with a record store throughout. The owner and servers were very attentive and offered to accommodate my needs as well as those of other customers. The dessert options were excellent. I had a latte and a delicious cheesecake which I ate later in the day.The indoor seating is limited but there is some outdoor sidewalk seating. If you like great coffee, a hippie vibe, vinyl records and tasty desserts, this place is for you.

Happy to say trying new cafes and drink options hadn't been a disappointment.Mackenzie prepared my Iced (light ice) Almond Carmel Lavender latte well. She even asked me to taste it befire paying yo see if I needed any change. The espresso wasn't overpowering but I just need a bit more caramel.

This neighborhood joint is definitely a hidden gem. Located along updated storefronts on 31st, this will hopefully not be a secret much longer. I popped in on a Saturday morning and was greeted by Jim, one of the proprietors. Service was prompt, prices very affordable, space was clean, staff friendly. They have milk alternative options. Vegan food options and I'm told the Best - yep the best gluten free peanut butter cookie in the city. I will have to come back to try and give my opinion. My butterscotch latte with oat milk was absolutely delicious. I slurped it down so fast - I wanted a second. I also tried the veggie quiche. Not my fave - filled with goat cheese. So beware if you don't like goat cheese. The white chocolate chive scone sounded interesting. This spot has thousands of records and cds in every genre. It's a cool space to linger.I will def return. If you go, tell Jim hello for me.

Ok so, this place is the best. Our family goes to new coffee shops every weekend in an effort to learn about new and fun parts of Kansas City. KC is a great coffee town for sure. I'm sure many of you fave your favorite local coffee shop, but I want to offer up that this place is worth leaving your part of town to try out. Every weekend I ask the fam jam "do you want to try something new, or do you want your favorite"? When we want that great coffee and aren't in the mood for the unknown.....this is the place we choose ( and we drive in from lees summit to get it). Cool place, great coffee, great foam, and great snacks. It's also kinda fun to watch people wheel and deal on records. My only concern is that someone will read this and start coming in regularly and then I'll have to wait in line. In conclusion....see you on Saturday.

Such a great neighborhood shop! They serve Broadway coffee which is the best in the city. It's a laid back, chill atmosphere where I can pop in with my baby to grab something to go or sit in a quiet space to hang out.

Really love this place. Fantastic record selection with reasonable varying prices. I didn't have to do a ton of digging to come across several absolute classics. They no doubt have some of your favorites from many genres. The front room has records sorted by genre and in the next room others sorted alphabetically (though the genre sections also seem to stick to alphabetically a good amount). They have an impressive cassette tape selection too if you're into that. In addition to the great music selection, they have a nice cafe as well that makes this an all around great place to visit.

This place is always so chill. I often come in with my friend Andee since it's just down the street from her apartment. I love the expanded space! Lots more seating now.And of course the record selection is premium! I've found several hidden gems in the racks before.

My fave record store in KC! Best selection of harder to find records, CDs, & cassettes. The coffee is so good, and the deserts are delicious. My fave retail store to haunt.

This is an update review from my 2019 review. Sister Anne's just keeps on getting better! Not only do they have the best coffee and vinyl selection in town, but they added baked goods THAT ARE TO DIE FOR! Sister Anne's just doubled their space and made their coffee shop THE hang out place in Martini Corner. Have a meeting? Need to meet up with a long time friend? Need a place to go to do work or relax? This is the place to go to!

It was a worthwhile experience. The coffee, atmosphere and dessert were excellent. Parking is a little tricky but worth the extra effort. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
