Want to become a member of this private billiards club? Therefore, you have to sign up, and members can bring guests for free. If you ever need a drink or listen to music, there's a bar here with variety of alchohol and a Juke box to uplift the environment.I've signed up for membership since 2014 and continue to renew yearly. As a member, I get to bring up to 100 guests annually if I remember the number correctly. Sign-in is required every time for everyone. This place used to allow you to vape and smoke indoors, but it changed last year. Now it's a very healthy environment for everyone especially for the youth group. Shooters is the biggest pool hall in Kansas and have overwhelming numbers of Diamond Tables in 9ft and 7ft. They are maintained meticulously; perfect for an effortless stroke. Just be cautious, please don't hit the ball too hard if you don't want it to roll all the way downtown. Leagues happened to play every week here, it gets a bit busy. Shooters is filled with wonderful, kind, passionate pool players if you want to pick up some skills. They will gladly show you a few things and teach you how to play proper. I've always been lucky in every pool hall I've been to. I've gotten many free lessons from players that happened to noticed my mistakes when I practice alone. Not to mentioned, the famous David Mattlock works in the pool hall and he shoots weekly. He is famous for winning numerous 8ball and 9ball championships. I have to play with him one day when I get better.I am a female that likes to practice alone and feel uncomfortable being bothered by random strangers. I don't get a lot of that since it's private club. Everyone are so kind here if you ever need help. Often times, I was afraid to walk to my car alone late at night. I'm a small vulnerable human, but I felt at ease when I was accompany by employees while walking to my car. Thank you guys for all that you do for me.

I really loved this place! For anyone who enjoys billiards, this is the place to go. It's excellent for weekly league and tournaments. Plenty of places to sit, multiple types of tables and many tables to play on.The service is excellent! The staff was working some pretty long and odd hours while I was there for a tournament, and they were nothing but nice.I was surprised not to see a hint of anything barbecue on the menu; however, all the food I had was pretty good.I would recommend: corn dog bites, cheeseburger, fried mushrooms, grilled cheese with ham, french fries, philly cheese steak sandwich.

I play pool in a league at Shooters, which is a private club in Kansas. (That means smoking is available indoors.) It costs $10 for a year to join. Although it's a bit "divey" there are some great reasons to like this place, too.The service ranges from fantastic to horrible, depending on who happens to be working. The owners are terrific about responding to customer concerns and most of the employees are very helpful and friendly. It's generally clean, but the food is unremarkable most days. Occasionally they'll whip up something like stroganoff, though, and a few of their menu items are tasty. The thing I like best about Shooters is that they're very supportive of billiards events and bring a lot of tournaments and exhibitions to the area. For instance, I got to attend an exhibition with Mike Massey, the amazing trick shot artist who has been on ESPN many times and has won numerous world championship titles without having to pay an admission fee. I have also found such highly skilled players who have helped me improve my game that I'm now qualified for a regional tournament that could take me to national level competition.

Pretty much empty on a Friday night. Need membership to enter, place looked clean enough but I'm just visiting town and find it so weird that you need a membership to grab a beer. Oh well, $10 is nothing for annual membership but not worth spending it when I'll probably drink less than that this evening. Less than 10 people seen in this huge spot after walking in and that included bartenders

This is a great fun place to hang out and have a couple drinks and play some pool. Expect for the one rude bar tender. I wish I knew her name. I have never met someone so disrespectful in a customer service job. Our first incident she was so rude and disrespectful, I said " I was going to spend some money tonight and have a good time, but I guess I'll just take a water please!" I have no idea how she is even employed there. Last night I ordered 2 double vodka cranberries, watched her pour it, didn't even put an entire shot in them. We said something jokingly to the gentlemen down the bar and they must've told someone. A different bartender/waitress who I wish I knew her name, brought us new drinks and made sure we were taken care of. If it wasn't for that waitress, I would never return to that place. They need to learn how to hire people who enjoy there job and want to be there to make people happy. Not ruin there night.

this place is the best pool hall in the Kansas city area, and the best within several hundred miles. The average player can join a league and get good competition and find fellow players who are happy to assist folks get better. I don't think of this place as "divey".The room is laid out well, with many tables of different sizes . Bar tables, snooker, three-cushion billiard: what you need to play on , they got. Prices are very reasonable. The food is satisfactory. Nobody goes to a pool hall for the food, but I eat well there., The servers are uniformly cheery- no attitudes, no silliness. The owner is a decent chap, and has supported big money tournaments for years. The big names in professional pool show up here once or twice a year. This is a great place for pool and pool players. Real pool playing happens here often.
