Played here the morning after an overnight heavy rainfall. Course was cart path only, which was totally understandable. Course was in good shape, but rough was really long, making it difficult to get out of. Before we finished our first nine, a marshal stopped us and told us that we were playing too slow IT WAS CART PATH ONLY, and I'm not sure what we could have done to speed things up. We attempted to speed up our play which resulted in two of the four of us picking up before we got to the green, and then we ended up catching up to the group in front of us and having to wait on holes. .

Great for events! Consider it as a great alternative location for hosting showers and receptions! We just hosted a second wedding reception at Shoal Creek, and the service was excellent! - Relatively inexpensive site fees and drink packages (compared to the community center) - Banquet room feels personal, beautiful views of the course, with a semi-private outdoor seating area. - Great new speaker system The manager on staff, Amanda, was at the ready all night and made accommodations for us.

This course was extremely well maintained and the greens rolled very consistently, if only more people would fix their ball marks. The layout is extremely challenging, more so on the back then the front. This was the first time I had ever played the course and if I lived in KC it would be one of my favorite.I played from the blue tees and it was long. Must be able to hit utility clubs well if you are not a long hitter. Was happy to birdie #11

More than half of the greens are not properly cared for. I was also extremely disappointed in customer service. Everyone I came into contact with seemed to have some form of a major malfunction and were extremely grumpy. I would've gave in this place one star but they aren't too because I will brag about one employee and that was the lady that brought drinks around on the golf cart. She was extremely polite. One might argue that she's only nice because she's getting tips. That might be true but the others should be nice to encourage return business.

GREAT GOLF COURSE. Seriously, legit. Beautiful course, lots of challenges. There isn't much water, but that's ok. Their golf carts are legit - they have gps on them and keep score for you. The prices aren't crazy either...like $30 twilight. Boo ya.

Great all inclusive venue for events. Everyone working was very friendly and made our wedding reception really special. They even set up our cake table and lit about 100 candles for us before everyone arrived.

Rude. Just rude. We traveled from Michigan to play golf with family to celebrate my 70th birthday. Middle of the week, middle of October. Almost no one on the course. There were six of us with two tee times,, and we proposed playing a six-player scramble so that we could play together and play quickly. But management wouldn't alliw it. Then the marshals stayed with us, hawking us, the entire round, making it very uncomfortable. It really felt like we weren't welcome. At the turn they slid a golf teacher and student right in front of us. They played shot after shot from each spot while we waited and waited. I asked the marshals why, and got shrugs. It was so slow that we finished in the rain when we should have had plenty of time.Truly disappointing experience.

The course is in pretty good shape. The staff however is as rude and unprofessional as I have ever encountered. Not helpful at all. There are many nice courses in the KC area - so go elsewhere. If I could give a 0 rating I would.

Most incredible course we have ever been to. We stayed at another local (within the top 5 in the world), and shoal creek was not as large, but made up for the distance in the beauty! Will go back there every time!

Course is in good shape. Don't leave anything in the golf cart. The cart/golf staff will consider it their property and keep it.
