The staff is incredibly friendly and even brings the food right to your table, making the experience even better. There are also plenty of parking spot, so even if you visit during the peak lunch hours, you should be able to find parking easily.There's a great variety of curry options to choose from, whether you're in the mood for classics like Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken or something unique like Palak Paneer (spinach curry). They also offer a wide selection of bread, from soft Naan to Rotis and Parathas.I've visited multiple times and sampled just about every curry and bread on the menu, and each one has been absolutely delicious.While it's located inside an Indian grocery store, and the ambiance might feel simple to some, the unbeatable price, generous portions, and amazing flavors make it a 4-star spot in my book!

Don't really understand the hype about this place. To me, the food was incredibly bland. I did the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan. The bread was a little burnt which was unfortunate but there was just not a lot of flavor going on overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful but the food was a miss.

Oh Shagan, we just adore you and your amazing food. Thank you for your kindness, sharing your amazing cuisine, and your amazing spirit with each of our visits. Butter Chicken, Butter Paneer, Curry Chicken, Garlic Naan, Naan, and paranthas were all heavenly this evening. Thank you for the Birthday treats at the end of our meal for our sweet 16 year-old. We will return soon and avoid letting so much time go by before filling our bellies again.Word of advice: Visit Shagan's ASAP!

Headed straight to Shagan's when I landed in KC -- had been craving it for months. We split the platter (great option for those of us who are indecisive) and added a couple "snack" items. Everything was amazing! Bonus points for having the friendliest owners. We were recommended the chicken wrap, and it ended up being our fav dish. 10/10

Tryed Shagans delivered by Door Dash. Couldn't decide if 2 plate meal would be enough for my big appetite, so picked 3 dishes & garlic naan. Selected Butter chicken, Curry chicken and Tandoori chicken. Got the 8oz size of the selections. All 3 tasted great and had very good flavors. I'm a Keto guy but tasted the garlic naan which was also very good. Next time I'll be forced to pick only 2 selections. Three selections with rice was more than enough food. But will be hard to pick because Shagans does an excellent job on Indian food.

What a beautiful experience. Such a hospital family owned restaurant with good food.You don't come across places like this where the owner comes out and greets you, not once but twice.My butter chicken and chicken curry platter was very fresh and tasty. I only posted pictures of my friend's plate because I forgot to take pics of mine. I will go back!

Wonderfully friendly staff. I had vegetable curry and garlic naan. Some of the very best I've ever had anywhere. Portion size was perfect. As a great curry should , I was left with a pleasant warm feeling after lunch. Great spot!

Visited for lunch at noon on a weekday. There was a bit of a line, and it took about 10 minutes to get to place an order. This is a place where you order and pay at the desk and then you go to your seat. They have a very small grocery section, too. Seating is pretty no-frills and close to the door, so keep your jacket on in the winter! The service was very friendly, and the food came out quickly once ordered. I ordered the 2-entree special (15.99), which came with rice and choice of bread. The food was very good, full of flavor and served default at a medium spice level. The overall serving size seems to be a little bit less than comparable restaurants.I'd definitely return to this location but only if I'm nearby. Compared with other locally owned Indian restaurants, you should be pretty satisfied with your visit here.

Shagan's is my go to for Indian food. I discovered Shagan's a few months ago through glowing reviews and have been back several times since. I've only ordered to go. All of the staff I've encountered provided great service and was very nice. It is a small walk up counter inside of a quaint grocery store, which I could see as being intimidating for those unfamiliar and looking to try something new for the first time. The staff is happy to help and provide recommendations.All of the food is homemade. So flavorful! I love the garlic naan and dipping it in the sauce with either butter chicken or paneer.There is also a drive thru as others mentioned. I definitely didn't realize that my first time ordering. I highly recommend Shagan's and will continue to visit for all my Indian food cravings!

The fresh naan is unmatched in the KC metro. Family-owned business now with another location on Ward pkwy. Best prices, best flavors.
