Absolutely love this new version of Scratch! Their team did an incredible job adding in a bar with curated cocktails while still focusing on their wine selection and seasonal dishes. Love that you can now enjoy a bar-side experience, too! Great job Scratch Team!I'll be back for the wine flights and cellar wine selections.

There's a reason why Kansas City is called Cowtown. We have some of the best steaks in the cosmos. If there's flesh of a dead cow on a menu, I'm apt to order it before anything else. (Yes, even skrimps.)Case in point, Scratch Gourmet Kitchen's Steak au Pavé, which caused me--briefly--to step outside my body in foodie ecstasy this weekend. In fact, I think it might be the best preparation in town--complete with its garlic cream demi-glace and perfectly executed, thinly sliced potato pavé. How good was it? I'm writing an entire Yelp post about this dish, for God's sake. And you're reading it. If you haven't been to this tiny-but-mighty, upscale eatery in a while, it's time. I'll join you.

Clean & chic restaurant, smaller than I thought but it was still very nice. Nice servers & staff everyone was friendly. Everything we ordered tasted very fresh. Some were a bit under-seasoned but mostly good. Very pretty presentation all the dishes.

Absolutely AMAZING experience! This is the spot for fabulous food and service. It's conveniently located in the shops of Prairie Village. I highly recommend making reservations in advance to secure a seat. We enjoyed drinks, shareables, and some entrees. From my understanding, the menu is seasonal with some items staying available year round. Highly highly recommend for a date night or nice night out!

I had heard great things about Scratch but I was blown away! I am a foodie and go to a LOT of places but this is now my TOP 3 FAVORITE!Everything from their drinks, appetizers, dessert was Fantastic. service is great. They have patio outdoor seating and indoor. Great for date night.The bruschetta is a MUST. I loved their Chilean Sea Bass and the flavors was just out of this world. I can not recommend them enough! SOOOO YUMMY and can't wait to go back

I've heard about the food at Scratch Gourmet Kitchen and wanted to try it and the reviews were great so we made a reservation which they and I 100% recommend especially during this holiday season and we picked indoor seating and were glad we did, if you have no choice and sit outside theirs a heating lamp and blankets to help keep you warm.We were seated immediately and it is important to note that your reservation times are preset to maximize numbers of guest so feel free to preview the menu and make your dinning experience perfect. Our waiter was phenomenal and very helpful in helping us pick our meal.We had a small table along the wall and even with the small space we felt like we were in for a great time and our experience was totally gourmet ever thing tasted delicious we will be back too many times to count.

Scratch Gourmet special chefs dinner and wine pairings was an incredible experience. The food was amazing and the service was top notch all in an intimate and unique environment. Their knowledge of wine was fun and such a learning experience. I will definitely be trying the takeout options soon!

Good was just OK. Expensive for the size of the portions. The crab shrimp appetizer was good but entrees lacking seasoning. Maybe better if you are just going to taste wine but we didn't drink. I felt the service was a bit snooty. We made reservations and were there first there when it opened. We were told to sit at a small table by the door and when we asked to sit somewhere else (not so cold by the door) we were moved but told others had reservations for that spot at 6pm. It was 4:00 so no problem since we wouldn't be there that long. The flowers were removed from our table, not sure why. Just overall treated like we were a bother, maybe because we weren't drinking? Not sure but didn't like the vibe or food. Would not recommend or go back.

My partner and I went here for the Merry Little Libations for the Christmas pop up. It was very underwhelming and not what I would consider a Christmas pop up. Yes the drinks were Christmas themed but didn't come with a Christmas look that other pop ups offer. They are also pretty expensive for what they were.Also I assumed that a "limited menu" would would mean more than puppy chow and a cheese spread. Just pretty disappointed with the experience,The staff were really nice though! Loved the waitress we had!In short I wouldn't recommend their Christmas pop up, not sure about their regular restaurant experience.

We went to the "Merry Little Libations" Christmas pop up on Saturday and had a great time. The server was such a joy and added to our overall experience! Great to see a pop up in town that has craft Christmas cocktail they are serving to guests and not something that is being poured off of a tap.It was a nice space that allowed us to partake in Christmas activities and still have great conversation with our friends!
